Position Overview
The Social Worker (SW) for the Family Service Centre (FSC) will manage assigned caseload and implement client intervention plans. This includes supporting the Centre’s casework system, providing information and referral services, and networking with community partners. The role also involves leading and supervising group and community work programmes, collaborating with organizations, and performing additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor and Centre Head.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
1. Casework & Counselling
1.1 Maintain a reasonable caseload.
1.2 Identify and assess the needs of the clients after which, plan and implement appropriate intervention plans with them.
1.3 Support the agency casework system including administration, intake, referral, evaluation and closure of cases.
2. Group Work and Community Work Programmes Development
2.1 Undertake the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of programmes.
2.2 Work as a a team player in devleoping programmes and to identify and explore needs of the families in our Community.
2.3 Liaise and work with organisations and partners to facilitate more effective work with families and elderly within our Community.
2.4 Sustain, motivate and work with volunteers in programmes that staff is involved.
3. Information & Referral
3.1 Provide appropriate information and referral services to people who contacted our Centre for assistance.
3.2 Support the agency I&R standard operating sytem of administration, inake, appropriate referral, outcome follow-up and closure of I&R.
3.3 Network and outreach to the residents and relevant partners in our Community to identify and explore needs of our Community.
4. Other Duties
4.1 Undertake and other responsibilities and duties as assigned by the Centre Director.
