Next Level Play is seeking enthusiastic student ambassadors to help nurture esports communities in schools and onboard students to our platform. This role is ideal for students who are passionate about esports, enjoy creating engaging content, and want to grow and lead their school’s esports club. As an ambassador, you will gain valuable experience in content creation, community building, and leadership while representing Next Level Play at your institution.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation & Social Media:

• Develop engaging social media content (posts, videos, and stories) to promote Next Level Play and esports activities.
• Highlight events, achievements, and updates through creative storytelling.
• Maintain a strong and positive online presence for your school’s esports club and Next Level Play.

Community Building & Engagement:

• Serve as the bridge between Next Level Play and your school’s esports community.
• Organize and promote esports events, tournaments, and campaigns within your institution.
• Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment to attract and retain members in the club and on the Next Level Play platform.

Onboarding & Advocacy:

• Onboard students to the Next Level Play platform, emphasizing its features and benefits.
• Advocate for esports as a valuable extracurricular activity that fosters personal and team development.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with the Next Level Play team to align on goals, campaigns, and branding.
• Provide insights and feedback about your institution’s esports culture to refine outreach strategies.

Requirements

Education:

• Currently enrolled in a polytechnic or university (e.g., NUS, SMU, NTU, or similar institutions).

Passion for Esports:

• Genuine interest in gaming, esports, and community-building.
• Active involvement or leadership in an esports club is a bonus.

Creative & Social Media Skills:

• Experience in content creation (video editing, graphic design, or social media management) is advantageous.
• Familiarity with platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Discord.

Leadership & Communication:

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to inspire peers to join activities.
• Comfortable organizing and promoting events.

The Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information (WKWSCI), together with the Earth Observatory of Singapore, is looking for a Research Associate to make an important contribution to the research project: “Climate Transformation Program (CTP): Cross Cutting Theme 1 – Sustainable Societies” funded by the MOE Tier 3C Grant. CTP aims to develop, inspire, and accelerate knowledge-based solutions and educate future leaders to establish the stable climate and environment necessary for resilient, just, and sustainable Southeast Asian societies.

CTP will generate knowledge and innovation across disciplines including climate and Earth science, ecology, materials science, artificial intelligence, humanities, social sciences and the arts, finance, health, and engineering. It will also translate state-of-the-art scientific results into real world solutions for Singapore, and it will transfer these solutions to Southeast Asia (SEA) and beyond.

As part of this programme, “Cross-cutting theme 1: Sustainable Societies”, this theme will leverage climate research in communication and virtual reality tools to shape public attitudes and behaviours towards climate change issues. The Research Associate will work directly with the PI of the Sustainable Societies theme, Professor Shirley Ho, based in the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information at NTU.

Key Responsibilities:

• To engage in conducting literature searches and manuscript preparation.
• To engage in VR app development and implementation.
• To engage in experiment conceptualization, design, and implementation.
• To conduct statistical analyses with experimental data.
• To contribute to research publications and presentations.
• To write progress report and final research report.
• To engage in the dissemination of the results of the research with the support of and under the supervision of the Principal Investigator.
• To carry out administrative work associated with the program of research as necessary.

Job Requirements:

• Master’s degree in communication, psychology, sociology, or a social science related discipline.
• Strong foundation in VR app development, experimental research and analytical skills (e.g., SPSS, MPLUS, or R).
• A team player in a project setting, also with ability to work independently in a multi-cultural team environment.
• Must demonstrate initiative and good interpersonal communication skills.
• Prior experience in VR app development and experimental research.
• An internationally recognized research track record as evidenced by journal publications and conference presentations.

• To run group work and programme for couples undergoing through divorce
• To run group work and programme for children whom parents are undergoing through divorce
• To complete all administrative tasks required for casework and counseling
• To be involved in setting up structures and processes within the department when necessary
• To lead ad-hoc tasks and projects by the agency when required
• To be able to work with partners and stakeholders when required
• To manage critical incidents and risks when it occurred within cases
• To provide field supervision for students on placement

Job Requirement:

• Min Degree in Social Work / Major in Social Work or Post graduate diploma in social work
• Able to start work immediately or within a short notice
• Open to handle family cases and going for house visits
