About Customer Dashboard

Our Customer Dashboard team is committed to build and manage fully featured admin panels that empower our customers and internal operations team to achieve their goals in a self-serve manner. As a member of the Customer Dashboard team, you will:

• Craft secure, performant and user-friendly solutions to empower our customers to manage their SaaS loyalty programs efficiently
• Engage closely with our designers, product owners and other engineering team members in developing brand new features like custom campaigns builder, payment integrations and a world-class customer onboarding experience
• Enhance our web application with dynamic access control and different user permissions in mind
• Adhere to and practice engineering best practices within the team - such as code reviews, API integration tests, writing our solutions in a maintainable manner.
• Support maintaining our integrated call centre platform and handle some incoming change requests

Job requirements

What you bring to the table

You’ll be an excellent fit with us if you’re:

• 3 years of solid programming experience, including front-end and back-end development
• Proficiency in at least one frontend language, preferably Typescript

Summary of Job Role

To design and implement technology solutions that align with business requirements and goals, ensuring efficient and effective system integration while optimizing overall performance and scalability.

The Role and Expectations

In the Software Engineer role for our Travel Team, you will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to building and enhancing our innovative SaaS-based travel platform. The Opportunity

Core Billing provides the foundation for client invoicing, billing & subscriptions across Ascenda's many services across our ecosystem. Think tiered subscriptions, usage computations, billing cycles, dates, currencies model computation for providing to our customers a clear, transparent and rewarding experience for using Ascenda's many services.

The Billing team is responsible for charting the strategy and laying the rails required to track, meter usage & purchases at scale. These building blocks include a standard model serving pricing logic across all apps, an event-driven tracking framework, an invoicing service, and more.

We are building the next generation of fintech services for our clients. As Staff Engineer (Billing), you'll have a unique opportunity to lead the strategy and implementation of this critical system, leveraging data, distributed systems, event driven architecture to build advanced financial tracking & billing, reduce risk and enhance our capabilities.

Responsibilities

We’re looking for a highly engaged, solution-centric Software Engineer to deliver impactful geospatial solutions to achieve positive client outcomes.

• Understand and analyse customer’s challenges and requirements;
• Work with team members to identify solutions for complex problems faced by customers;
• Design and develop applications that leverage on geospatial technologies;
• Propose innovative designs that are empathetic and create a good user experience;
• Identify areas for professional growth, receive training and attain relevant certification;
• Participate in an agile team to continually improve the quality of solutions to customers.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Geographical Information Systems, or any relevant discipline;
• At least 3 years of experience full-stack application development, with strong front-end focus;
• Proficiency in JavaScript and its frameworks would be an advantage;
• Proficiency in Geographical Information Systems (GIS) technologies would be an advantage;
• Analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Creativity, innovation and a passion for designing user-centric and effective solutions;
• Excellent communication skills to articulate solutions for complex problems;
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines.
