The joint CAAS-Thales innovation lab known as ‘AIR Lab’ started to operate on 1st November 2019 with the objective to develop Proof of Concepts (POCs) or Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) of advanced and open technologies for future Air Traffic Management (ATM). Fabrica AI is reinventing how robots are developed. Currently novel robots take 5-20 years. We are building a design automation platform to bring it down to a month, and have already demonstrated significant progress by developing tile grouting robots in record time. Robotics simulation and reinforcement learning has been advancing a lot making it 1000x cheaper to train robots compared to 5 years ago, and as Jensen Huang said at Nvidia GTC 2024, "the ChatGPT moment for robotics may be just around the corner." A couple other companies are building on the same paradigm shift but we are the only ones using it to automate hardware design, not just software.

Building robots and a design automation platform together brings great synergy - the platform helps us develop robots faster than anyone else and the robots allow us to gather data and do experiments at scale. Data gathering can be done through partnerships with other robotics companies, but doing experiments is crucial for grounding the platform in reality and ensuring its usefulness. The grouting robots are already deploying daily at construction sites and bringing value to clients. We are currently negotiating sales worth around 500k USD. Your internship would revolve around real-world industry deployments taking us from a TRL of 7 to 9. You may be remunerated with a combination of salary and share options. Job Description

NUS IT is the IT department of NUS, we develop solutions that are used by students, staff, as well as other visitors that serve to further NUS education needs and vision.
We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to oversee technical data architecture in NUS.
The role will manage the technical architecture of our data platforms as well the solution architecture of data related solutions. This role will also champion the proper implementation and adherence to best practices across all stages of the data platform delivery lifecycle.
This is a hands-on individual contributor role and the candidate should have recent hands-on development experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

Data Platform Technical Architecture

• ​Create, manage, and document optimal data pipeline architecture.
• ​Understand technical architecture of data related platforms and provide advisory to other teams.
• ​Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from data sources.
• ​Create, manage, and document data pipelines in the data pipeline solution and keep them in line with business needs.

​Data Solutions Architecture

• ​Design the solution for a modern data platform, including aspects like master data management, data lakehouse, data pipelines.
• ​Design best practices for data related implementations.
• ​Define and champion the direction for data platforms and their technologies, including their framework, architecture, standards, and guidelines.

Technical Expertise

• ​Stay updated about of emerging technologies and industry trends in order to drive innovation within our organization.

​Organizational Collaboration

• ​Provide technical guidance and expertise to teams, helping to solve complex technical challenges.
• ​Collaborate with engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.

Qualifications

• ​Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• ​Minimum of 8 years of experience with a focus on data platforms architecture and engineering.
• ​Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams, promoting collaboration and achieving the objectives of programme and initiatives.
• ​Exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with a track record of effectively addressing technical challenges and risk mitigation.

​Technical Expertise

• ​Strong working experience in Azure Fabric – specifically Data Factory, Data Engineering, OneLake (Data Lake Storage) and Data Warehouse.
• Good working experience knowledge of master data management.
• ​Working experience in big data and DataSecOps is an added advantage.
• ​Experience in MS SQL and Oracle, including querying and tuning large, complex data sets and performance analysis is preferred.

We are seeking a talented Principal Architect to join our Global Solution Architect team, focusing on Multi-Service Integrations. In this role, you will design solutions for large, multi-tower engagements across various business units, balancing technical and business skills. You will craft innovative business-IT solutions for clients’ transformation and outsourcing needs, using digital, IT outsourcing, applications development, management, and infrastructure services. This position requires prior experience as an overall solution or enterprise architect with a proven track record in solutioning and delivering projects.

Requirements

• Extensive years of experience in solutioning for large complex programs
• Preferable to have experience in supporting pursuits and delivering multiple transformation AND / OR other packaged solutions supporting value chains across various Industries
• Need to have a good understanding of the Insurance, Banking or Retail as a whole across LOBs
• Need to have significant experience in the APAC region designing and Implementing transformation programs
• Excellent verbal, written communication skills and executive presence
• Preferably having a Tech advisory background with clients in ASEAN region
• Necessary to have had hands on experience in solutioning large transformation deals
• Need to be familiar with various deal constructs and engagement models for stitching large transformation deals
• Familiarity and hands on experience with most technology clusters – Micro Services Architecture, Java, .Net Core, Oracle, ERP, Open standards / TOGAF / industry standard frameworks and various common cloud platforms
• Familiar with the latest trends and common solutions on Data Management & Analytics, AI, IOT, Digital Engineering principles
• Ability to understand the broad strategy of the enterprise, recommend solutions propositions keeping in mind the entire client eco-system which is fit for purpose.
• Ability to have conversations and present propositions to the CXO group and carry the relationship along driven by content.
• Ability to derive and drive development of executable solution from a defined business need / architecture towards an executable solution.
• Need to have experience in estimation model for sizing the solution
