A Tricentis Tosca Architect is an advanced role responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing test automation frameworks using the Tricentis Tosca platform. This position focuses on enabling end-to-end automation across enterprise-level applications to ensure quality and efficiency in the software development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities:
1. Test Automation Framework Design:
• Create scalable and reusable Tosca test automation frameworks.
• Define best practices for test case design, execution, and maintenance.
2. Strategic Planning:
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align test automation strategies with business goals.
• Design solutions for continuous testing and integration with CI/CD pipelines.
3. Tool Implementation:
• Implement and manage the Tricentis Tosca platform across projects.
• Integrate Tosca with other tools like Jira, Jenkins, Git, and Azure DevOps.
4. Customization and Optimization:
• Develop custom modules, reusable libraries, and scripts to extend Tosca’s capabilities.
• Optimize test automation processes for performance and scalability.
5. Mentorship and Training:
• Provide guidance and training to test engineers and developers.
• Promote Tosca adoption and best practices across teams.
6. Defect and Risk Management:
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with teams to resolve issues.
• Implement risk-based testing methodologies using Tosca’s Risk Coverage Optimization.
Required Skills:
· Proficient in Tosca Test Suite, including modules like Tosca Commander, API Testing, and BI Testing.
· Knowledge of Tosca’s Model-Based Testing (MBT) approach.
· Strong programming and scripting skills (e.g., Java, Python, or VBScript).
· Understanding of API, web, mobile, and database testing.
· Experience with integrating Tosca into CI/CD pipelines.
· Familiarity with complementary tools (e.g., Selenium, UFT, and LoadRunner)
· Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
· Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive automation initiatives.
· Familiarity with agile and DevOps methodologies.
· Domain expertise in industries like finance, healthcare, or retail is a plus.
Qualifications:
1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Certifications:
• Tricentis Tosca certifications (e.g., Automation Specialist Level 1 & 2, Test Design Specialist, Test Architect).
• Agile and DevOps certifications (optional but beneficial).
3. Experience:
• 5+ years in test automation, with 2+ years using Tricentis Tosca.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing automation frameworks at scale.
