General Overview

This position is part of the site Mechanical team that provides technical/maintenance support to the Operation and Project teams in LNG Terminal. He/she would be mainly responsible for overseeing the safe and reliable operations and maintenance of the Terminal assets from the Mechanical discipline perspective.

The incumbent is also responsible for establishing, reviewing and overseeing the relevant mechanical design elements of new build equipment / asset enhancement activities and implementation of minor mechanical engineering projects, while ensuring the overall mechanical integrity of the terminal.

Roles and ResponsibilIties

The incumbent shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following scope of tasks and duties:

• Provide technical/maintenance support and solutions to the terminal operation Teams including supporting the development of maintenance strategy focusing on equipment reliability, compliance, spares inventory requirement, preventive and predictive maintenance programmes and mechanical maintenance procedures for mechanical equipment.
• Lead the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, commissioning and replacement of mechanical static equipment and piping systems.

• Perform root cause analysis on equipment failure and provide recommendations to resolve technical issues which may also arise from vibration, RT, UT, oil and other analysis as part of predictive maintenance programmes
• Manage and maintain historical information on static and rotating equipment such as running hours, data statistical information on all plant shut down and loss of production events caused by mechanical systems, engineering documents and review applicable codes and standards for compliance purpose
• Lead technical discussions, execute and manage project schedules and cost and collaboration with external and internal stakeholders, vendors for end of life and improvement project using SLNG Management of Change (MOC) process for mechanical equipment
• Liaise with external stakeholder including government agencies on approval and risk of shutdown of mechanical system that will affect gas-send out
• Participate in RCA, RBI, HAZID, HAZOP, Model Review studies for mechanical packages, co-ordinates and close out Mechanical related issues

Work Experience

• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in maintenance of plant equipment, rotating machinery and static equipment, preferably in oil/petrochemical or related industries
• Good knowledge and experience working on different types of in-service pipeline inspection. Knowledge of the LNG / natural gas or other hydrocarbon industries an advantage
• Relevant technical experience in maintenance of mechanical/ machinery systems i.e compressor, pump, pressure vessel, hydraulic components and piping system.
• Conversant with local codes, regulations and standards, equipment inspection and schedule requirements. Certified in API, vibration and other analysis standards will be well regarded

Position Summary

To supervise and coordinate the overall execution of projects assigned so as to ensure smooth delivery and handover to customers. This includes ensuring customers’ terms of order, meet delivery dates and installation completed with quality and safety standards as required by customers.

Job Description

• Manage and ensure project meets internal and client expectations with respect to quality, delivery timelines, and strategy required by Consultant/Owner with compliance to Workplace Safety Health (WSH) and prevent any Liquidated Damage (LD) imposed by Consultant/Owner.
• Maintain proper execution documentations and minutes of meeting to avoid claims and counter claims for delays or proof for extension of time with conduct periodic check on project filling and database to ensure it is properly file and relevant document are posted for easy reference.
• Develop and maintain good working relationship with the various parties at site that foster good client ties in the execution progress in order scope of works is not affected.
• Ensure own installation team and sub-contractors perform and comply with predefined quality scope of work and EHS standard.
• Communicate with Main Contractor/Consultant/Owner regarding project schedule and site facilities while manage customer changes throughout project and ensure deviations are commercially addressed ensuring configured documents are maintained at all times.
• Conduct bi-weekly project meeting with supervisor and feedback on the respective site issue and the progress of the projects.
• Assist General Manager and work closely with other departments, namely purchasing, quality control (QC) and Environment, health and safety (EHS) in promoting effective out-sourcing & sub-contracting.
• Review and approve WSH documents including Risk Assessment, Method of Statement, Safe Work Procedure, Fall Prevention Plan, Lifting Plan, Safety Management System, Permit to Work and ensure the work is carry out safely.
• Perform other tasks as delegated by the immediate superior.
• To comply with all relevant EHS legal and other requirements associated with the job functions and responsibilities.
• To comply with all EHS requirements affecting the operations, including those affecting the customers, suppliers and contractors supplying and serving the departments.
• To participate in EHS program.
• To follow the EHS procedures and work instructions.

Qualification & Experience

. Minimum Diploma in Engineering or equivalent years of experience.

· Minimum 3 years of working experiences in site management including 1 year of supervisory experience.

· Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.

· Good team player with ability to work independently.

· Working experience in a diverse cultural environment.

. Quality management system (QMS) fundamental & experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and co-ordinate on the project progress and schedule and ensure timely completion
• Attend project meeting and report on project status
• Prepare project budget and cost estimation
• Co-ordination of hookup and monitor of tools installations schedule
• Manage, control and monitor all project activities such as design, testing and commissioning of project

Competency Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Mechatronic/Mechanical Engineering
• At least 3 years of working experience in the related field
• Familiarity with semi-conductor/construction industry
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of QA/QC procedure (PQR/WPS) will be an added advantage
• Multi-tasking team player with excellent interpersonal and communications skills
• Attended QEHS related awareness training

Responsibilities:

• Perform servicing of Trane chillers & other HVAC equipment
• Carry out corrective and preventive maintenance for chillers and related equipment
• Have basic knowledge of overhaul & start up jobs on Trane chillers
• Liaising with customers to resolve complaints cases
• Coordination with vendors and contractors in job coordination
• Assist or involve in schedule planning & prepare technical analysis reports for management’s review
• Ensure all works carried out in accordance with the specified quality and EHS standards
• Any other duties as deemed necessary from times to times

Requirements:

• NITEC/ Diploma/ Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic Engineering or equivalent
• Relevant experience in Chiller Systems/ Air-conditioning
• Positive attitude
