We are in search of an experienced Senior Engineer, Core Services to join our team who shares a passion for tackling complexity and build platforms that can scale. This role reports to the Engineering Manager.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Ownership of multiple services or areas of work within a platform subsystem
• Owns the end-to-end delivery of tasks/features from design, development, testing to release
• Delivers high quality code that is extensible, reliable, and performant
• Assesses technical complexity and risk, and communicates it effectively
• Responsible for handling and fixing issues as the primary owner of multiple services
• Review code changes requests to identify potential improvements and to prevent errors, and approve code reviews
• Contributes to software development guidelines and best practices as part of their work
• Communicate, document and provide guidance to junior engineers around the features delivered

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent fields
• 5-8 years of software engineering experience
• Proficient in designing and developing large scale distributed systems and microservices
• Certain level of familiarity with backend development related technology stacks such as Go/Golang, Node.js, Ruby, Javascript, Python, PostgreSQL (Mysql), RabbitMQ, Redis, AWS and GCP
• Extensive knowledge of practical operating system concepts around Linux/ Unix and networking

Preferred Qualification:

• Prior experience in developing large scale or high-volume consumer facing products including web applications and/or mobile applications
• We don't require experience in any particular technology, but you should have the ability to chew through difficult technical problems and gain insights from them

RESPONSIBILITIES

• To ensure that development meets project and design/maintenance requirements using C++ language.
• Manage the software building and system development process in a structured, planned, and controlled manner, in accordance with the established system development methodology, to ensure timely and appropriate project delivery.
• Interface with end-customers to understand system needs
• Translate user requirements into software design
• Document write-up, including design manual, operation manual, test cases and software manual.
• Design and develop secure applications, either standalone interfaces or server-side programming.
• Work with team members for software development and integration and testing to meet delivery.
• Debug and resolve technical issues to ensure application availability.

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any related field of study
• Minimum 3 years of experience in software development.
• Good in UX and UI design. Good to have some experience using Photoshop.
• Experience in software applications. Able to do both frontend and backend.
• Strong in C++ language.
• Good to have knowledge on QT framework (C++) and MSSQL.
• Able to work independently and as a team.
• Good in communication.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
