Job Description:

· Overseeing the daily site activities and progress, planning, implementation and monitoring work schedules in accordance with the master and detailed work programmes.

· Coordinate with different departments concerning the site work activities.

· Work closely with sub-cons, highlight any work-related matters for team's discussion and solutions.

· Supervise works on-site for proper work execution and safety.

· Handle any engineering/technical issues.

· Prepare daily progress reporting and maintain records that are up to date.

Requirement:

· Minimum a Diploma / Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.

· Able to work independently with minimal supervision under tight schedule.

· Meticulous and good communication.

Responsibilities:

• Assist Project Manager in monitoring and managing the day-to-day operations of project
• Liaise with consultants and /or sub-contractors on the project matters
• Attend meetings with owner/client/contractors/sub-cons on the project related matters
• Check drawings and raise technical queries to resolve the discrepancies in between drawings and as well as those arisen during the project execution
• Carry out in-progress inspection and joint inspection and to ensure that the works were executed to the required quality standard
• Update the project quality plan as and when appropriate
• Assist Project Manager on the tasks assigned

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/professional Degree in Engineering (Civil) or equivalent
• At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position
• Preferably Seior Executive Specialized in Engineering- Civil/Construction/Structural or equivalent.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Be aligned and act in accordance to SMRT's Vision, Mission, Service Standard and Core Values.

2. Ensure good understanding, knowledge and skills needed for all maintenance activities and provide support for staff training.

3. Lead and supervise a team of Technical Officer(s) to perform preventive, corrective, overhaul, troubleshooting, engineering analysis, investigation or any assigned maintenance activities on all rolling stocks, depot and workshop equipment.

4. Assist to plan and coordinate staff deployment and shift roster to optimise resources utilisation.

5. Verify and ensure all tasks executed by the team are in accordance to latest Work Instructions, Quality, Maintenance, Operational and Safety Procedures, and to ensure personal and peers’ safety at all times.

6. Ensure spares, tools and equipment used are in good condition and calibrated if necessary.

7. Perform train shunting activities and operate depot equipment, maintenance vehicles and maintenance equipment to support maintenance activities of the group.

8. Verify and ensure work records done by the team are updated factually, accurately and timely on Work Records Form and on the Maintenance Management System

9. Report immediately any abnormalities or practices observed that are not in accordance to Work Instructions, Quality, Maintenance, Operational and Safety Procedures.

10. Adopt KAIZEN methodology (5M, 5S & 5W) to eliminate 8 Wastes and improve Productivity and Value of work performed.

11. Provide support to staff, contractors or any other personnel who are required to perform work on depot and all rolling stocks.

12. To support the group during incidents, accidents and emergencies.

13. Ensure excellent housekeeping are maintained within all work areas.

14. Maintain a high level of work discipline and standards.

15. Perform any other task as assigned.

• Conduct site studies to develop PV system recommendations tailored to specific project needs.
• Lead and manage the solar project site team, ensuring strict compliance with safety standards and protocols.
• Monitor and oversee site progress to ensure all work conforms to project specifications, schedules, and budgets.
• Plan and prepare detailed Bills of Materials (BOM) for solar projects.
• Utilize software tools like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other modeling programs (e.g., SketchUp, PVsyst, Helioscope) for project design and optimization.
• Work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously to ensure seamless execution.
• Qualifications & Skills:
• Experience in solar PV projects, including design, installation, or management.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks; experience with SketchUp, PVsyst, and Helioscope is a plus.
• Strong understanding of PV system components and project lifecycle.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities to manage site teams effectively
