Summary

The sales engineer is responsible to generate and increase sales revenues as well as expand client base by seeking and following on leads, first point of technical contact by providing technical assistance and advice to clients, establish and maintain customer relations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Establish new customer market and sell the company’s range of products and services.
• Expand sales to existing client and provide excellent before and after sales services.
• Form good network/contacts with client and industry associations to be constantly connected to various events for networking opportunities.
• Provide customers with proposals which meets their needs.
• Follow up with client enquiries, and contracts.
• Other duties assigned by the management from time to time.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

• Minimum diploma/degree in mechanical engineering / related discipline or extensive experience in the specialty lubricants industry.
• Independent, discipline, self-motivated and service oriented.
• Strong problem solving and ability to provide solutions skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
• Preferably possess own transportation.

Overall Job Objectives

Assists the PM to oversee the construction activities, progress, planning, implementing, and monitoring of work schedules in accordance with the master and detailed work programme

Core Responsibilities

1. Attend site meetings and inspection

2. Preparation of documentation including project status report, method of statement and work procedure for the project.

3. Planning, executing, monitoring and control of the project.

4. Liaising and coordinating with all parties such as clients, consultants, consultants’ representatives, site supervisors, and sub-contractors

5. Handing of technical and engineering problems

6. Supervise ongoing site activities closely

7. Ensuring that the quality control of the project is met

8. Ensure that all the construction safety rules and regulations are being observed

9. Prepare necessary work and safety permits, submission documents and drawings once work are completed.

10. Any other ad-hoc tasks assigned

Job Specifications

1. Degree in Engineering or related disciplines

2. Able to read/understand/execute work based on construction drawings

3. Good communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills

4. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.

What you'll do: 

• Assist QP(S) in the daily supervision and coordination duties including civil (drainage, road) and structural works, site investigations, building works, etc, 
• Lead, monitor and supervise RTOs on Site
• Responsible for the consistency of quality assurance inspections and testing for works
• Attend site meetings and resolve technical issues with Contractor
• Keep quality records of all works, monitor & report on work progress
• Review and comment on contractor’s submissions
• To review and supervise safety, environmental and health matters

• STM - MCU Programming Development.

• Firmware/Hardware Support and Development.

• Manual soldering/desoldering SMT/Throughhole components.

• General production support.

• Handling general maintenance and repairs.

• Any other duties as assigned by Supervisor / Management.

• Responsible for QA, QC.

• Reports to Construction Manager
• Preparation of detailed schedule and monitoring the progress closely to ensure on-time completion
• Prepare detailed method statements and relevant documents
• Coordinate between client, sub-contractor(vendors), suppliers and internal team
• Attend the meeting with the stakeholders
• Generate and handle company reports, meetings, and documents required
• Propose alternative work method or other way to increase productivity
• Handle technical and engineering issue
• Ensure the activities comply with the quality, environment, health & safety requirements

Job requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil engineering or equivalent
• At least 2 years’ experience in the construction & supervision of vehicular structures and road projects preferably with LTA infrastructure projects
• Attained technical expertise and knowledge in Civil Engineering Construction especially in foundation, structural, ERSS and viaduct
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
• Attained CSCPM/BCSS, Work At Height, confined space certification would be an advantage
• Good interpersonal skills
• Hardworking and willing to learn
• Willing to commit 5.5 working days each week and occasional night works when required
