Scope

As the Staff Embedded Software Engineer at Ambiq, you will drive the development and testing of AmbiqSuite SDK on Ambiq SoC devices and emulation platforms.

This role will work within our global MCU software development team and will work closely with architecture team and local MCU SoC design team, focusing on MCU software development and test activities.

The person in this role will be responsible for extending the hardware adaptation layer (HAL) and device drivers of the SDK to new platforms as well as enhancing its features and content. • Work with our software architects to define the hardware abstraction layer (HAL) and board support package (BSP) of the SDK.
• Design, develop and maintain HAL interfaces for MCU common blocks, such as Cache, MPU, TCM, MRAM/Flash, clock, power and MCU control etc.

What You’ll Do:

· Developing and maintaining the entire DevOps pipelines

· Coordinate with the stakeholders from requirements gathering until successful implementation DevOps pipeline on boarding

· Work with the vendors and for internal platforms to setup centralized DevOps solutions considering market best practice, Industry standard and ease of support

· Work with the vendors and for internal platforms to upgrade the DevOps tools farm and integrating with tools

· Lead analysis and resolution of root cause for Test Orchestration / Environment related issues

· Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.

· Excellent written and oral communication skills; writing, publishing and conference-level presentation skills · Stays current with industry trends and leads development of key DevOps, Runtime and Operational innovation platforms.

What Will Make You Shine :

· Deep hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, Sonar, Veracode, JIRA, Confluence).

· Proficiency in building and orchestrating pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar tools

· Strong experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), cloud platforms (OpenShift, AWS), and Kubernetes deployment processes

· Solid understanding of build & branching strategies, DevOps governance, security standards, and audit requirements

· Expertise in automation with Python, Chef, Ruby, PowerShell and strong scripting skills (Shell, Groovy)

· Experience with continuous testing, including JUnit, SonarCube, and Veracode

· Working knowledge of Murex, MxTest, Mx pipeline, and Machine Learning applications

· Agile methodology, strong software engineering fundamentals and attention to detail

· Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, organizational and team management skills
