Job Description

As a Workshop Engineer, the main role will be conducted within an office-based position at Fugro in Singapore office. He will serve as the primary support contact for the mechanical aspects of all mobile / fixed drilling equipment. He will play a pivotal role in the planning and budgeting for preventive maintenance and upgrades which will include liaising between many internal and external departments. Additionally, he will be responsible for supervising routine mechanical tasks carried out by rig mechanics on the ships.

Day-to-day tasks will include:

• Assist with the preparation and planning for the mechanical equipment inspection and testing that will be carried out throughout the year in the workshop facility.
• Assist the equipment resource manager with the planning and implementation of the upgrades relating to equipment including modification works.
• Participate and execute mobilization activities of mechanical equipment, including development of procedures, task plans, as instructed.

About You
The Workshop Engineer will be a qualified and experienced Mechanical Engineer with a detailed operational and maintenance knowledge of static & rotating mechanical (including high pressure hydraulic & Pneumatic) systems. He would have a minimum 8 years of hands-on experience on servicing hydraulic and mechanical equipment used in Marine & Offshore industry, of which minimum 3 years of experience is working on hydraulic equipment used on offshore facilities such as MODU’s, Rigs. The role is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the Offshore Geotechnical drilling and Geophysical mechanical equipment’s maintenance. The Production Engineer, as Process Owners (Production Process) are responsible for the development, description, implementation, training, and monitoring of processes assigned to them.

Your Responsibilities

• Analyzing processes assigned, define the processes’ interfaces and boundaries, and determine the requirements for a specification-compliant process result through perform and document process validations or re-validations including IQ, OQ and PQ.
• Develop the process steps together with the interested parties:
• Define content of routings/workflows.
• Create the content for their description (FPV).

During product transfer:

• Taking charge of own assigned processes, plan and co-ordinate with relevant parties for Process transfer and is accountable on timeline and objectives
• Derive acceptance criteria for process target quantities.
• Prepare production transfer (ERS).
• Prove achievement of the process target quantity.
• Release process for serial production.

At serial production, drive defined plans:

• Monitor key performance indicators, analyze them periodically, monitored deviations in the process and initiate corrective actions;
