Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Liftoff’s Supply infrastructure.
• Partner with senior engineers to build reliable, high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems serving millions of requests per second.
• Improve tooling and infrastructure to support frequent, high-quality software releases.
• Participate in code reviews and discussions to maintain an “engineering excellence” culture, focusing on best practices and risk-driven testing.
• Work with cutting-edge open-source technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Kafka, HAProxy, ArgoCD).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related field) with minimum 2yrs of professional experience, or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience with system design principles, data structures, and algorithms, applied in real-world scenarios.
• Professional experience in programming - Golang preferred.
• Familiarity with containerized workloads and/or Kubernetes.
• Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and implementations.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; enthusiasm for teamwork.
• Fluent in English, with the ability to communicate effectively both in writing and speaking.

Bonus

• Experience (e.g., internships, personal projects) in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).

Liftoff offers all employees a full compensation package that includes equity and health/vision/dental benefits associated with your country of residence. Job Description

• Maintain and enhance the application which includes upgrading of the libraries, application and servers components, performance profiling and tuning of the server-side codebase, GIS map services and SQL statements.
• Generate unit tests and end-to-end test scripts to ensure nothing breaks upon publishing new features and maintain current automated scripts in Jenkins.
• Generate splunk reports and performance analysis on the usages of the map services.
• Troubleshoot, identify, solve issues and develop test cases to prevent similar issues.
• Monitor the results of automated correctness and performance test to ensure a stable and working application.
• Design and develop the application according to the specifications provided.
• Perform design, programming, integration, system testing, assist users in User Acceptance Test (UAT).

Test Manager role

1. Assist product owner / UAT lead to prepare Test Strategy and Test Plan.

2. Identify potential issues and risks and gap.

3. Assist UAT lead to run testing kick-off and regular cadence meeting.

4. Review test scenarios and cases with key product owners to meet requirements and expectations.

5. Document acceptance criteria for product owners sign-off.

6. Coordinating with upstream/downstream teams to facilitate testing.

As a Software Engineer, you will be working with a multidisciplinary team of software, computer, mechanical, electronics and communications engineers.

Our Software Engineers shall develop software that breathes intelligence into our underwater robotic systems. We strive to make our systems smarter and easier to operate, collaborating seamlessly with other systems to meet the mission requirements.

• Be part of a dynamic team to elicit system requirements and develop software specifications, based on mission and users’ needs

• Build up test environment and simulators for hardware and software verifications
