IGnesis is a multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy firm based in Singapore providing consultancy services in Fire Safety Engineering, Environmental Sustainability Design, Mechanical & Electrical, and Advanced Simulation Technology. We conduct CFD modelling and studies for a range of applications pertaining to natural ventilation, fire and smoke spread in buildings and tunnels, evacuation modelling and microclimate analysis such as thermal comfort, wind-driven rain, etc.
Due to projects in Singapore and overseas, we are looking for experienced and motivated candidates to join our team.
The role will involve:
1. Using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software for simulation relating to building performance applications such as natural ventilation, wind-driven rain, thermal comfort, etc.
2. Carrying out CFD modelling and analysis, including preparation of 3D model, simulation set up and pre-/post processing as part of the CFD process.
3. Liaising with clients to understand simulation requirements and deliverables.
4. Preparation of related reports for submission and presentation to stakeholders and authorities.
5. To develop, propose and review simulation methodologies.
The prospective candidates are expected to have:
1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Science or related discipline with a specialization in CFD Modelling
2. Good understanding of building physics, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics/dynamics.
3. Experience in softwares such as BIMHVAC, OpenFoam, IES, FDS, Pyrosim, Fluent, etc
4. Good written and oral communication skills
