The Role & Responsibilities

Design Development & Execution

• Design Conceptualization: Engage in all phases of the design process, from initial concept development through to final design approvals, keeping in mind project scope, client specifications and budget.
• Material Selection: Choose appropriate materials, finishes, and furnishings that meet aesthetic, functional, and client specifications.
• Detail Execution: Ensure designs are planned and construction detail drawings are produced to meet practical execution requirements.
• Project Oversight: Collaborate with the Project Manager and Accounts Manager to ensure project timelines are adhered to and coordination with various stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and suppliers, are timely and on budget.
• Tender Package Preparation: Prepare comprehensive tender documentation, including technical specifications, drawings, and material requirements. Ensure documents adhere to local building codes, regulations, and industry standards. Coordinate with consultants, engineers, and contractors to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
• Adjustments and Modifications: Handle proactive on-site adjustments to address any discrepancies or improvements needed, ensuring the final output aligns with the original vision.

Client Relations

• Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, interpreting their needs and translating them into compelling design solutions.
• Presentation Skills: Present detailed design proposals, tender documents, and material selections, articulating concepts with clarity and confidence.
• Relationship Management: Work with the Accounts Manager to maintain and strengthen client relationships through regular, effective communication and exceptional service delivery.

Technical Skills

• Tender Documentation: Strong experience in preparing, reviewing, and managing tender packages for construction projects.
• CAD Skills: Demonstrate strong proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software to create accurate and detailed drawings.
• Detailed Design Plans: Produce comprehensive and detailed working drawings that outline all aspects of the design including floor plans, elevations, sections and detailed construction drawings that follow industry standards.
• 3D Modeling and Visualization: Utilize CAD software to develop 3D models and visualizations that provide a realistic representation of the designed spaces to clients, contractors and the design team.
• Material Specifications: Compile detailed specifications for materials, finishes, and furnishings including all necessary information for procurement and installation.
• Collaborative Revisions: Work closely with the design team, clients, and contractors to update and revise technical documents as needed and ensure that all stakeholders have access to the most current plans.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, or a related field.
• Proven experience in interior design and/or architecture, with a portfolio showcasing a wide range of residential and commercial projects and detailed construction drawings.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp (or other 3D modelling software), V-Ray or Enscape
• Strong knowledge of local building codes and tendering processes.
• Proficiency in interpreting design specifications and quotations, with the capability to generate quotations being an added advantage.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts clearly to clients and team members.
• Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
• Flexibility to handle multiple projects and adapt to changing client needs and timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and translate them into comprehensive IP transmission solutions.
• Utilise expertise in IP Transmission stream protocols to design and implement efficient and reliable solutions.

• Conduct technical presentations and demonstrations tailored to customer needs.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to customise solutions or develop new features.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in IP transmission technologies to improve offerings.
• Support post-sales service work to ensure comprehensive customer support.
• Able to manage and respond to RFIs, RFPs, and provide compelling technical proposals.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of five years of experience in broadcast and IP transmission industries as a Solutions Architect or senior Pre-Sales Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of IP transmission technologies, protocols and networking concepts.
• Proficient in designing and implementing solutions using IP networking, routing and switching technologies.
• Familiar with cloud computing platforms and services (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Experience in selling IP transmission managed services and building successful customer relationships.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
