About the role

Accountable for the management, implementation, and delivery of a large technology program of work in “Commodity Trading Risk Management” (CTRM) consisting of end to end physical and paper trading activities across Singapore, US, Europe, Australia and NZ. Key responsibilities

Project Delivery

• Responsible for managing a multi year CAPEX budget of ~$15m per annum.

• Work with business stakeholders in the commodity trading and supply business to prioritise demands and ensure alignment with financial allocations.

• Define, establish and manage multiple 3rd party vendor contracts for the execution of work packages within the program (value ~$10-20m), with appropriate IT and Business sign off.

• Actively manage the Portfolio of technology projects in this space, ensuring resource management, reporting, financial controls are in place.

• Ensures that technology project scope is managed to and act as point of escalation for scope changes, ensure that changes in scope that will impact time or cost are managed within established change control processes.

• Acts as the Escalation point for underperformance of vendors and is accountable for the support of project managers in addressing such.

Qualifications & experience

• Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (such as Business, Finance, IT, Engineering) or significant equivalent workplace experience.

• Certified in Prince2 or PMBOK

• Program manager certified

• Agile certified

• Experience working in the Commodity Trading Risk Management (CTRM) industry especially in relation to oil products

• SAP experience is preferred but not essential

Our client is a leading Multitech software company. This is a contract role with their Financial services team to support the Financial Controller in managing the month end close and forecasting and budgeting cycles.

Job Responsibilities:

Lead Month End Close Process:
• Analyze the P&L and follow up with stakeholders to ensure all accrual entries are accurately stated and completed
• Summarize and present month end P&L results, including variance analysis to management
• Collaborate with the outsourcing team to ensure month end close process is completed timely and with accuracy

Lead Forecasting and Budgeting Process:
• Leverage the Asia Forecasting and Budgeting models for ASEAN
• Partner with stakeholders to gain insights and achieve forecast and budget accuracy
• Summarize and present monthly forecast and annual budget numbers, including variance analysis to management

Systems, Tools and Processes:
•Deep understanding of the relevant systems, tools and processes is necessary to effectively perform job functions
• Identify and drive improvements in processes, support new business programs by leveraging innovative technology solutions, and work with policy owners to drive program improvements and compliance

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or related field is desirable
• Min 6+ years relevant experience in large multinational corporate is preferred
• Working with large volumes of data, able to simplify that in a view to present to management, able to explain variances in a clear manner
• Should be well versed in Tools/Systems: Excel, PowerBI
• Excellent cross-group collaboration skills, including the ability to comfortably communicate with senior management
• Motivated self-starter that can clearly identify and articulate to management the financial results and variance analysis
• Good presentation skills and able to communicate with clarity and in a concise manner

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our growing team as an Account Executive/Assistant. In this role, you will provide essential administrative and support tasks to the Finance department, playing a key role in maintaining accurate and timely financial records.

What You Will Do At HeLa Labs?

• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, including entering invoices, preparing payments, and reconciling bank statements.
• Assist with general ledger maintenance, recording and categorizing financial transactions.
• Prepare and submit basic financial reports, such as accounts payable and receivable aging reports, and reporting to management.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date filing systems for financial documents.
