Job Description:

• Import Strategy & Coordination: Develop and execute import strategies. Collaborate with suppliers and third-party logistics (3PL) to ensure smooth operations, timely container unstuffing, and accurate reporting.
• Shipping Management: Track and update shipping schedules in Navision. Provide weekly reports to management and R&D, and notify them of schedule changes. Ensure timely receipt of shipping documents for customs clearance.
• Material Transfer: Manage raw material and finished product transfers between warehouses and production. Monitor claims for damage and ensure prompt updates in Navision.
• Inventory & Warehouse Optimization: Plan monthly import activities to optimize warehouse use. Prepare inventory aging reports and manage stock levels.
• Compliance & Documentation: Ensure import activities comply with laws, SOPs, and ISO standards. Maintain accurate records and handle discrepancies.
• Cost & Risk Management: Monitor shipping expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and verify 3PL invoices. Develop risk mitigation strategies for import processes.
• Team Leadership: Supervise and train the import team, conduct performance evaluations, and resolve shipment issues.
• Technology & Process Improvement: Use import management systems (Navision) and stay updated on technological advancements to improve operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Purchasing/Supply Chain / Logistics or equivalent related qualification
• Minimum 7 years of relevant managerial experience in manufacturing or relevant industry
• Proficient in Microsoft office applications and other relevant software (e.g. Navision)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
