Job Description & Requirements

To ensure that all the dishes are freshly prepared and the food standards are met.

Should have the knowledge about properties and usage of herbs and spices in food preparation, and to cook south Indian dishes in a traditional way.

Prepare high quality traditional authentic Indian food, especially South Indian dishes.

To ensure that all the dishes are freshly prepared and the food standards are met.

Responsible for the kitchen’s daily operations and supervise and coach junior kitchen staffs.

Plan and arrange ingredients for next day preparation and orders.

Need to understand the customer requirements, as per order.

Maintain Kitchen safety and cleanliness.

To Introduce new dishes and menus.

Should be able to work in shifts/ split shifts and be ready to work on weekends and public holidays and in a rotational holiday.

Should monitor and maintain stock levels and inventory.

Need to monitor stock rotation procedures are followed as per inventory.

Experience in cooking large volume parties.

Monitoring portions and waste control.

To provide quality of food.

A deep understanding of authentic Indian food preparation.

Capacity to work under pressure during the extremely busy period.

Responsibilities

Preparing and cooking a wide range of Chinese dishes.

Developing and customizing menus to fit customer preferences.

Supervising kitchen staff and ensuring smooth kitchen operations.

Maintaining food quality, consistency, and presentation.

Ensuring adherence to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.

Managing inventory, ordering ingredients, and controlling food costs.

Skills

Expertise in Chinese cooking techniques (e.g., wok cooking, steaming, frying, roasting).

Ability to prepare authentic Chinese dishes with precision and flavor balance.

Knowledge of traditional and modern Chinese recipes.

Menu planning and innovation skills for Chinese cuisine.

Strong knife skills and ingredient handling.

Leadership and team management abilities.
