ROLE SUMMARY

Under the supervision of Coaching Committee, the Candidate will work with the other Coaches in the following areas:

• To train the athlete in preparation for the various competitions, which includes but is not limited to the Major Games, National Championships, local and overseas competitions.
• To help prepare, formulate and implement short term, medium and long-term plans for the development of the athletes.
• To work with the Coaching Committee in the development of training plans.
• To coach the Competition Team during overseas training and competitions.
• To scout and identify talented athletes.
• Ensure that appropriate supervision, directly or indirectly, is provided to all athletes during training sessions.
• To conduct coaching courses and clinics.
• To ensure the safety of participants and the proper use and safe- keeping of all training equipment, tidiness of the Training Centre or where the athletes train.
• To mentor local coaches and athletes.

DEVELOPMENT

• To support the other Coaches, to advance the knowledge of other Coaches in cooperation with the Technical Department through the Coaching Development Program (CDP)
• To work with Sports Science Department to develop and carry out the sport science-based development initiatives related to the Athlete Development Program and CDP.

TRANSFER OF EXPERTISE

• To support the other Coaches by providing comprehensive apprenticeship training for a group of coaches.
• Providing mentorship and training for the identified other coaching personnel to possibly assume the incumbent’s role.

• Conduct New Media Literacy workshops supported by teachers in the school’s Technology for Learning (TEL) committee.

Support School’s Applied Learning Programme/Student Initiated Learning

• Work with selected groups(s) of students to develop prototype applications for their Applied Learning Programme (ALP) projects.
• Train and supervise students in the use of the iMaker (maker space) room.
• Conduct training for/support selected students in their Student-Initiated Learning related to ICT/Multimedia.

Identify training needs and conduct training courses and workshops for school staff

• Develop and customize training programmes supported with learning materials that suit the learning needs of staff.
• Support the school’s ICT programmes, by advising staff on the affordances of various ICT tools and collaborating with staff and Instructional Programmed (IP) HODs in the development of ICT integrated lessons.

Support for School Events & Multimedia Projects

• Support deployment and use of Audio Visual (AV) equipment during school events.
• Coordinate and assist teachers in conducting ICT-related events, e.g. Internet Safer Week.
• Provide services for school functions pertaining to ICT-related matters.
• Support school in multimedia projects (Eg: Videos, microsites, etc.) for publicity, staff/student training and other school events.

Support for school Audio Visual (AV) Equipment

• Work closely with ICT Associate, SH/ICT and HOD/ICT on maintenance of school’s AV equipment which includes projectors, visualizers in classrooms and special venues.
• Support teachers & staff on troubleshooting of AV equipment.
• Provide training for school’s Audio visual, Infocomm & Media (AIMs) Club students on the use of AV equipment to support school events and daily operations such as morning assemblies.

Working with other ICT Department Staff and Other Projects.

• Work closely with the ICT Associate, Desktop Engineers (DEs) and any other ICT support staff in the school to ensure the smooth operation of school programmes and events.

The personnel shall minimally have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

• A diploma from a recognised institution, preferably in an Information Technology-related discipline with 3 years of relevant experience: those without a diploma and with relevant experience and expertise may also apply.
