General

Key Objectives

1. Outreach

· Working with the Singapore National Head Coach , the objective is to build a stable squad of [12 or more] regular rowers (both male and female) as well as a pipeline of younger rowers who will be th foundation for future rowing success at major games in years to come.

· Collaborate with schools, focusing on NTU-NIE teaching curriculum with Physical Education teachers.

· Initiate regular touchpoints with secondary schools, introducing rowing to students, especially those in the vicinity of 249 Jalan Buroh.

• Take up teaching duties if the need arises: Take up teaching duties when needed, including covering regular classes, holidays, and special programs.

• Design, prepare and deliver lessons to teach the basic knowledge, and techniques, support and enhance learners’ understanding of Coding, STEM and technology.
• Oversee and conduct training for AI, coding, and robotics-related competitions.
• Review and improve on current content/curriculum with our internal or external partners.
• Stay up to date with education trends and best practices. Keep abreast of new research and innovations in teaching and learning.
• Develop close relationships with students and parents to understand their needs and ensure that the team delivers lessons that are up to expectations.
• Collaborate with other departments: Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure a coordinated approach to teaching and learning across Titan Tech Academy.
• Complete all duties assigned by the management team in a timely and professional manner.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Preferably a Diploma in an Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or Science related field and above.
• Good programming background with a positive learning attitude.
• Experience with working with young children will be a plus.
• Should be proficient in using Scratch and Python in teaching and curriculum research.
• Should be proficient in using Scratch Interactive Programming and Python Series Programming for courseware compilation.
• Preferably some working experience in teaching or as an instructor, with a focus on AI or Coding, Robotics.
• Have a pleasant, positive, and optimistic personality. You believe in doing things well in a personal and professional capacity.
• Work well in a small team setting or individually.
• Have high self-standard and like to think of ways to improve things.
• Knowledge of current STEM education trends and best practices would be advantageous.

Responsibilities:

• Planning and preparing lessons in relation to individual pupils' needs and examination syllabuses (Trinity College of London Rock & Pop, Rockschool, etc).
• Teaching music theory, aural skills and practical techniques to students.
• Assessing students’ abilities, providing feedback to parents, so as to ensure good and constant progress.
• Ensuring you have up-to-date knowledge and awareness of examination requirements
• Daily management of your own lesson schedule, and follow up with the academy administrator to ensure that all class and student information are accurate and all payments are up-to-date.
• Forward all feedback and complaints to the Music Academy Director, Store Branch Manager and Academy Administrator to work together to resolve any issues and ensure that students and parents are satisfied with the service rendered.
