Job Overview

As a Senior/ Staff Nurse of our Community & Home Medical/ Nursing Team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and competent delivery of healthcare to our patients. You will be required to utilize skills in IV Cannulation, Phlebotomy, Vaccination Administration and IDC Insertions. Clinical Supervision

• Assist in providing adequate supervision of all staff in carrying out their responsibilities in accordance with the Enhanced Nursing Home Standards (ENHS) guidelines, protocols and standards operating procedures (SOPs).
• Provide clinical supervision to all newly recruited staff nurses, enrolled nurses and other junior staff ensuring that they carry out their duties in accordance to the SOPs.

Residents’ Activities

• Plan and carry out the daily activities for the residents and maintain an accurate log-book.
• Assist the Physiotherapist/Therapist Assistant in their rehabilitation program for the residents and encourage residents’ participation.

Resource Management

• Assist in proper management of food costs by cutting wastes and monitor the efficient use of consumables, supplies, dressing materials and diapers accordingly.
• Maintain and upkeep a proper inventory control with regular inspection.

Medical Matters

• Work closely with the Medical Doctor in reviewing treatment and management of residents’condition.

Feedback Management

• Assist in any investigation and resolve all feedback and complaints received from therespective centres.

Other Duties

• Assume any other additional responsibilities as assigned by Senior Nurse Manager/ NurseManager/Assistant Nurse Manager/Senior Staff Nurses (SNM/NM/ANM/SSN).
• Act as a liaison person with the respective hospitals, resident’s sponsors on the dailymedical appointment.
• Assist in provision of holistic cleanliness of resident care area.
• Deputise for SCM/SNM/CM/NM/ACM/ANM/SSN in her absence.

Qualifications

• Locally Trained: Degree or Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Nursing with valid licence from SNB will be an added advantage
• Foreign Trained: Degree or Diploma in Nursing with Board Pass (Professional Regulation Council).

About The Role

As a Staff Nurse in the endoscopy unit, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality healthcare to our clients' patients undergoing endoscopic procedures. You will work alongside a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals, each contributing to a smooth and efficient service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Care: Provide expert nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Clinical Experience: Assist in various endoscopic procedures, utilising your knowledge and skills to support the medical team effectively.
• Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with colleagues, patients, the patients' families, to provide education and support when needed.
• Documentation: Accurately document patient care and procedure details in line with clinical guidelines and protocols.
• Quality Improvement: Participate in feedback on quality to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.

Experience/Skills Required:

• Experience in a permanent nursing role.
• Experience with endoscopy would be advantageous and preferred.
• Good bedside manners and interpersonal communication skills.

Education/Qualification

• Registered with the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB).
• Recognised educational qualifications in Nursing.

Work Schedule

• 5.5 Days a week
• On call for a week (Once or Twice a month)
• Weekdays 7am to 3pm or 8am to 4pm
• Saturdays Half Days

Clinic Staff Nurse

Location: Novena

Working hours: 5.5 days office hours

Budget: Up to $4500

Responsibilities:

• Provide medical care and patient counselling to help patient understand about the scans or procedures and contrast injection

• Perform cannulation and maintain meticulous records

• Chaperone doctor/radiographer, prepare patients for scan examination as needed

• Regular upkeep and maintenance of all the equipment under your charge (eg BP, E-trolley check, injector etc)

• Ensure availability of medical supplies (eg contrast, syringes etc)

• Infection control practice, standard and transmission precautions, isolation care, disposal of sharps/waste/linen
