Job Description

• Provide nursing service/procedures and advice to clients.
• Perform all other necessary dispensary-related duties.
• Conduct assessment, develop care plan, perform clinical procedure, monitor conditions and perform re-assessment.
• Match / link clients to the appropriate services.
• Assist with the development and management of On-Boarding Programme for new staff.
• Undertake any other tasks assigned by the Centre Manager.

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in Nursing with at least 3 years of nursing experience.
• Must be registered with the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB).
• Able to speak additional south/south-east asian language(s) beneficial.
• Candidates must be SNB-registered nurses prepared to work in migrant workers' dormitory environment.

You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate the total nursing care for an assigned group of patients, as well as perform a wide variety of nursing procedures and patient education that meet patients’ needs. You will have opportunities to work in the Cardiothoracic Surgery wards/Intensive Care Unit (ICU) or Cardiology wards/Coronary Care Unit (CCU). You will be required to perform shift work.

Job Requirements:

• Registered Nurse or Nursing qualification recognised by the Singapore Nursing Board with at least 1-2 years’ nursing experience in an acute hospital setting
• Documented proof of:
• (i) Measles (or Mumps, Measles and Rubella) vaccination or serological evidence of measles immunity; and
• (ii) Diphtheria (Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis) vaccination taken during preceding 10 years at prevailing point of reference as required for all healthcare workers under the Healthcare Services Act with effect from 3 January 2022. POSITION DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform patient assessment and appropriate interventions for effective ICU patient’s outcomes. Coordinate patient care and provide quality nursing care in the ICU.
• Perform basic and complex nursing procedures and treatments to meet the general comfort and well-being of the ICU patient.
• Demonstrate competency in clinical skills and knowledge such as performing IV cannulation, performed and preparing for haemodynamic monitoring, venepuncture for blood sampling, IV administration of medications and fluids, administration of controlled drugs, ECG monitoring and interpretation, cardiac monitoring as well as other critical care related nursing procedures.
• Provide patient education and participate in patient’s rehabilitation, involving the patient’s family as necessary.
• Assist Surgeons / Physicians on patient rounds during treatment / procedures and examination of patient.
• Set up and monitor medical equipment and devices such as cardiac monitors, mechanical ventilators and alarms, oxygen delivery devices, transducers and pressure lines.
• Prioritize nursing care for assigned critically ill patients based on assessment data and identified needs.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Nurse Manager and Nurse Clinician.

QUALIIFCATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

• Graduate as a registered nurse (RN) from an accredited school by Singapore Nursing Board with either Certificate, Diploma or Degree
• Advanced Diploma or Post Basic in Critical Care certification
• Min 3 years of ICU Experiences
• Full Registration with Singapore Nursing Board
• Valid nursing practicing license
• Valid Certification in BCLS & AED.
• Required to work on rotating shifts that include weekends and public holiday
