Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior SAP Basis Consultant to manage, maintain, and optimize the SAP system's technical infrastructure, including application servers, database servers, and operating systems. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SAP technologies and Oracle database administration, along with a proven track record of system upgrades, performance tuning, and team collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

System Administration:

• Manage SAP systems' technical infrastructure, including SAP MaxDB, Oracle databases, and Windows/Linux servers.
• Administer SAP NetWeaver, SAP R/3, SAP ECC 6, and related technologies.
• Perform monthly system reboots, backup and recovery, and disaster recovery planning.

Database Management:

• Manage Oracle 9i, 10g, 11G, 19c, Informix, and MS SQL databases.
• Optimize database performance, perform backup and recovery, and ensure high availability.
• Conduct capacity planning and implement storage management.

System Upgrades and Migrations:

• Plan and execute SAP system upgrades, migrations, and patch installations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compatibility with other applications.

Security and Compliance:

• Manage user authentication, authorization, and access control.
• Ensure compliance with security protocols and implement system hardening.

Support and Troubleshooting:

• Monitor system performance and resolve technical issues promptly.
• Analyze system logs, troubleshoot application errors, and implement corrective actions.
• Provide end-user training and technical support.

Project Management:

• Lead SAP projects, including system migrations and new feature implementations.
• Coordinate with clients, developers, and business teams for project delivery.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 15+ years of experience in SAP Basis consulting, including Oracle database administration.
• Expertise in SAP MaxDB, SAP NetWeaver, and related technologies.
• Proficiency in Windows, Unix, Linux, and AIX operating systems.
• Strong experience in SAP system installations, upgrades, and migrations.
• Knowledge of backup and recovery procedures, high availability, and disaster recovery.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

· Sales/marketing experience will be an advantage

• At least 5-7 years of relevant SAP QM and PP, authorization experience in manufacturing environment (Chemical industry preferred) and SAP ECC 6.0 and/or S/4 HANA.
• Have strong integration working experience and knowledge of the key integration points between the other SAP modules.
• It is best to have SAP certification in the QM/PP module, along with foundational knowledge in SAP report development (ABAP) and form development.
• Must have at least two full life-cycle SAP R/3 ECC 6.0 and / or SAP S/4 HANA implementation experience (Project Preparation till Go-Live) or greenfield implementation
• Strong understanding of QM and PP functionalities and able to apply them to business issues and have hands-on experience in configuring them. Should have good integration experience in SD/MM/PP. Knowledge of integration between IBP, BW and ECC will have advantage
• Capability to assess issues and offer explicit suggestions.
• Must be able to work independently as well as a team player and can manage own workload with little to no supervision.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information System, Info-communications, Science or its equivalent
• Good communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
• Must be familiar with process and project documentation.
• Capability to juggle various tasks and oversee multiple assignments and projects concurrently.
• Must be results oriented, and demonstrate a can-do attitude – adaptability, flexibility and resourcefulness
