MONITORING:

• Prepare regular industry updates for management.
• To work closely with the aviation origination team, credit risk, coverage and other internal stakeholders to support business development and matters in relation to existing and new transactions.

ACTIVE PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT

• Assess at any time the value of each line in the portfolio, propose lines for secondary sale, set floor price.
• Oversee and attend to post-closing activities within the portfolio, such as ad-hoc requests in relation to repayments, amendments, and security under the existing transactions, etc.

MISCELLANEOUS

• Instruct appropriate corrections to Middle Office when errors are detected and report any significant deviation to management (data quality);
• Inform management of all key events impacting the portfolio.
• Attend to regulatory reporting, stress test and internal/external audit requirements.

INVOLVEMENT IN VARIOUS CROSS-BORDER OR GENERAL MISSIONS

• Monitoring of portfolio exposure, risk provisions, sectorial limits;
• Update of LGD models, risk policies, rating methodologies, KYC procedures.

Job Requirements

• University Degree holder in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline
• Minimum 8 years of experience in Aviation Financing including Warehouse & Portfolio (Lessors) financing, direct financing to an airline & Short-Term Bridge structures with takeout options and/or Credit Risk with strong exposure to the Aviation industry
• Strong understanding of Structured Financing. Alternatively, strong expertise in asset-backed financing or structured lending products.
• Skilled in financial analysis and credit risk assessment.
• Comfortable communicating with senior management members

The Asset & Wealth Management Strategic Transformation Office is a recently established entity tasked with overseeing comprehensive large-scale transformations. The Transaction Banking Liquidity Portfolio Management Analyst has responsibility, along with the Director, for driving liquidity products and strategy across APAC.

This position will be responsible for:

• Pricing approval matrix adherence monitoring
• Deposit behaviour analysis
• Market events correlation analytics
• Competitor action tracking
• Robust forecasting processes

Primary Responsibilities

Strategic

Work with the Director, Liquidity Portfolio Management to:

• Ensure optimal product mix of TDs, Current Accounts, CNDA and ESG deposits and identify products to mitigate any gaps.
• Develop TB’s deposit pricing and rate management strategy, improved deposit quality, better forecasting accuracy, enhanced controls, and stronger collaboration between Markets, Coverage and TB Sales.
• Provide guidance to Coverage and other stakeholder on important market events (example rate increases).
• Track and measure performance of rate decisions, including flow of funds and balance rotation.

Financial and Performance Reporting

Support the design, implementation, analysis, and renewal of key performance indicators and deposit analytics:

• Weighted average pricing on a portfolio basis.
• Comprehensive deposit drivers and forecasts including deposit behaviour, to provide senior managers with data-based business intelligence and insight.
• Coordinate deposit and liquidity information gathering for use as management information in key committees and forums, including with senior management.
• Act as a key liaison point regarding deposit portfolio performance and coordinate the alignment of Treasury and Finance stakeholders in APAC;
• Identify and indicate leading and lagging key performance indicators such as deposit rates, weighted average interest rates, net interest margins, and funds transfer price

Customer

Develop and maintain strong stakeholder management with key stakeholders both externally and within MUFG including:

• Colleagues across the region to deliver an integrated service for our customers.
• Transaction Banking Sales to understand the customer’s product requirements and recommend solutions.
• Work in partnership with various departments in the Bank to support delivering seamless transactions to the customer. Departments including but not limited to Operations, Credit and Planning.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor Degree in Finance or Banking Field
• Minimum 1 year of working experience in Corporate Banking
• Minimum 1 year of working experience in Data Analytics
• Experience in treasury or pricing is preferred
• Experience in Excel and PowerPoint or Qlik sense, VBA (writing macros)
• Business acumen and entrepreneurial mind-set
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others and sell ideas
• Strong stakeholder management skills to collaborate with other departments
