• Assists in maintaining and preparing accurate and timely financial and operating information with emphasis on the Aged Trial Balance of Accounts Receivable
• Works with Superior in the preparation and management of the department’s financial reportings
• Reports directly to and communicates with the Director of Finance and Business Support on all matters pertaining to credit and collection of guest and city ledger accounts
• Cooperates, coordinates and communicates with guests and other departments in matters concerning issuance of credit, follow up outstanding accounts and assisting with credit requirements
• Liaises closely with the City Ledger Supervisor in reviewing and maintaining the Aged Trial Balance of Accounts Receivable
• Works with Superior on manpower planning and management needs
• Monitors the special billing arrangements for groups and conventions as required to ensure that postings are in line with customer requirements
• Establishes adequate record keeping and issuance procedures
• Ensure adherence to the hotel’s credit policy
• Assists in providing safe keeping, including proper storage and access, for all contracts, leases and other financial records
• Maintains professional and technical competence
• Assists in implementing and maintaining acceptable accounting practices and procedures as required by IHG policies and procedures, generally accepted accounting practices and as affected by local conditions
• Demonstrate Awareness of OH&S policies and procedures and ensure all procedures are conducted safely and within OH&S guidelines and ensure your direct reports do the same
• Be aware of duty of care and adhere to occupational, health and safety legislation, policies and procedures
• Be familiar with property safety, first aid and fire and emergency procedures and enforce these in your areas
• Initiate action to correct a hazardous situation and notify supervisors of potential dangers
• Ensure security incidents and accidents are logged, investigated and rectified to prevent future catastrophes

What we need from you

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance or related field, with 3 years in hotel accounting or auditing experience or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
• Demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
• Possesses problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities.
• Has good writing skills.

The Technical Project Manager is responsible for the overall success of their projects. Projects can range from several small to medium projects or on one very large project. The Technical Project Manager leads and manages a team of project managers, and assistant project managers to deliver exceptional results for our clients. The position proactively develops new business opportunities and relationships with current and potential customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Establish and maintain a complete delivery schedule from preconstruction to the final handover in alignment with the overall construction project.
• Establish budgets, progress billing, change order management, and progress billing with vendors and clients and prepare cost reporting.
• Establishing and conducting weekly meetings with the client and DWC leadership to review budgets, schedules and overall project status.
• Respond to customer inquires and requests in a timely manner.
• Publish high level reports and detailed meeting minutes to the entire team.
• Provide mentoring and training to all direct reports, project managers, project engineers and other support staff.
• Negotiate and supervise the preparation of all change orders on the project, maintaining a running log for long lead items.
• Maintain a current log and repository for construction documentation such as: drawings, submittals, customer standards documentation, and engineering specifications.
• Other duties and projects as assigned and needed.

DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in project management, preferably in electrical construction. And or a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Structural Engineering.
• PE license a plus
• OSHA 30 and CPR training preferred
• Data Center experience a plus

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Proven experience mentoring and managing others.
• Business development/heavy client interaction a plus.
• Extensive knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
• Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); Accubid preferred.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary.
