Job Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Strategic Investment Director to lead our expansion into the China and Asia markets. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of China’s construction, supply chain and manufacturing sectors, with a proven track record of driving growth and forming strategic partnerships and investments. This role will involve identifying new business opportunities, forging industry connections, and implementing market entry strategies and investments tailored to the unique regulatory and cultural landscape of these regions.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Entry Strategy: Develop and execute a strategic plan for entering the Chinese and broader Asian markets, identifying potential risks and opportunities.
Business Development and Investments: Build and nurture key relationships with stakeholders, including suppliers, distributors, and local government agencies, to ensure smooth market penetration and expansion.
Partnerships: Establish strategic alliances with local businesses, partners, and suppliers to create strong, sustainable relationships.
Regulatory Navigation: Ensure compliance with local regulations, tariffs, and policies; facilitate the necessary certifications and permissions for business activities.
Sales & Growth: Drive sales growth in mainly China and Asia by tailoring our products to meet local market demand and identifying new sales channels.
Market Research: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to understand industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes within the region.
Investment:
Create new partnership and expansion through sound and stable investment on behalf of our company.
Cultural Adaptation: Adapt and tailor our company’s offerings to align with the cultural and business practices unique to mainly China and other Asian markets.
Qualifications:
Diploma and above
Proven experience (8+ years) in business development and investment, with a strong background in the construction, supply chains and manufacturing industry.
In-depth knowledge of China’s market structures, regulations, and industry trends.
Established network of contacts within the Chinese and Asian construction and supply chain related industries.
Fluent in Mandarin and English (other Asian languages are a plus).
Experience in handling cross-border negotiations and contracts.
Strong analytical skills and ability to conduct comprehensive market research.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Have investment experience and set up of foreign offices experience.
