Job Scope

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with 10+ years of experience in software development and expertise in Big Data technologies. The ideal candidate will work on designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and analytics platforms to meet diverse business requirements.

Responsibilities:

Build and optimize large-scale data pipelines using Hadoop, Spark (Core, SQL, Streaming), and PySpark.

Manage and process structured and semi-structured data using Hive, Sqoop, Impala, and Kudu.

Develop and implement streaming data solutions with Apache Kafka.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand technical requirements and implement data-driven solutions.

Perform data validation, quality checks, and recon reports to ensure high data accuracy.

Work on AWS services (S3, Glue, Athena) for cloud-based data workflows and analytics.

Translate legacy systems to open-source frameworks, leveraging technologies like Python and SQL.

Optimize performance and scalability for data processing and storage systems.

Utilize Java/J2EE, Hibernate, and Struts frameworks for backend application development.

Provide mentorship to team members and support in troubleshooting and debugging complex data issues.

Requirements:

Proficiency in Big Data ecosystems, Spark, Hadoop, and related technologies.

Strong experience with PySpark, data transformation, and aggregation techniques.

Hands-on with AWS services and cloud-native data pipelines.

Solid understanding of SQL, RDBMS, and data integration tools.

Expertise in Java/J2EE frameworks and application development.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

1. Work in Singapore, Bedok office, both female or male candidates can apply
2. 5-1/2 day work week, Mon-Fri 8.30 am to 6.00 pm, Sat 8.30 am to 12.30 pm
3. 14 days leave per year.

Requirement:

1. Minimum secondary education.
2. Very good hands-on with Auto Cad 2D M&E drawings.
3. Very good hands-on skills with Microsoft Excel.
4. Good command of English both speaking and writing.

What You Bring With You

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in DevOps, Software Engineering, or related fields.
• Experience in python or other programming languages (preferably python)
• Experience with virtualisation and containerisation technologies (e.g., VMware, Virtual Box, Docker).
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS and/or Azure.
• Experience with CI tools (preferably Jenkins and/or Gitlab CI)
• Knowledge of source control management tools (we use Gitlab) and the accompanying CI/CD processes.

• Manage cloud resources (AWS, Azure) and on-premises environments (VMware)
• Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline CI, CT, operational tasks, deployments, and monitoring.
• Assist with deployment and system setup for engineering and development projects.
• Collaborate with software developers and QA engineers to ensure smooth build and release processes.
• Troubleshoot any issues faced during development and deployment.
• Implement and maintain backup strategies and disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
• Continuously assess and improve system reliability, security, and performance through proactive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation.

Job Description:

- Responsible for the supervision of Electrical Equipment testing and commissioning at site, review and

submission of site acceptance test reports.

- Review Single Line Diagrams and Electrical Schematic Drawings.

- Assist in Electrical Equipment Installation Inspections.

- Attend to Site Activities and Meetings involving clients and contractors.

- To undertake tasks / assignments as and when directed by the Project Lead.

Job Requirements:

- Candidate must possess at least Diploma in Electrical Engineering.

- At least 2 Years of local working experience in the related field is required for this position.

- Possess initiative and capable of multi-tasking in a fast paced environment.

- Experience in MV / LV Electrical Equipment (Site Installation, Testing and Commmissioning,

Maintenance Testing) will be an added advantage.
