Roles & Responsibilities
The Resident Technical Officer shall report to the Consultant, be responsible for the constant/full-time standing supervision of the construction of Civil & Structural works of the project and shall exercise all reasonable skill, care and diligence in the discharge of the contract. The Resident Technical Officer is expected to know the Building Control Act (Cap. 29), its relevant by-laws and subsidiary legislation, rules and regulations and its latest revisions, have a working knowledge of the relevant statutory requirements, and comply with all the requirements concerning supervision, quality control and other documentation.
The Resident Technical Officer shall undertake all necessary duties as required to fulfill his role and responsibilities, including those duties stated below:
· Duties at commencement of Works
· Keeping records of the Works and reporting to the Consultant
· Inspection / supervision & testing of the Works
· Monitoring the Builder’s site management
· Maintaining documents / Information on the equipment / provisions
· Duties related to obtaining TOP / CSC
· Duties at completion of the Works
· Duties to be performed as directed by the Consultant
· Duties necessary for the completion and fulfilment of his statutory obligations under the Building Control Act
Requirements
· RTO should be a polytechnic graduate or hold an equivalent qualification. He shall be registered with the BCA and accredited with the JAC (IES-ACES).
· RTO should have 3 - 5 years’ experience in supervision of Architectural, Structural, Mechanical & Electrical and Landscape Architectural works.
· Be conversant in local legislation, regulations, and codes.
· RTO with relevant experience in projects similar in nature to the Works in National Parks Board, Civil Contracts will be favourably considered.
Job site: Teachers’ Estate Park
Duration: Tentatively from February 2025 to September 2026 (20 months)
Working days and hours: 5.5 days per week (830am to 530pm including lunch break 1 hour on weekdays, 830am to 1230pm on Saturday)
