Our client is a statutory board under Government of Singapore, they are now looking for Software Engineer (Devices) to support the team.

The activities required to be performed shall include the following:

• Requirements gathering;

• Design, development, and maintenance of the software;

• Preparation and submission of deliverables throughout the software development lifecycles such as Business Rules, Software Requirement Specifications, Software Architecture Document, Design Specification, Interface Specifications, Source Codes, Testing Specification, Operation and Maintenance Manual, Training Manual and others documents as required in the standard adopted by the Authority;

• Assist the Authority with day-to-day application support issues; and

• Liaise with users on the requirement, design and testing issues.

• Tertiary qualification in Electrical/ Electronics/ Mechanical Engineering/ Computer Science or a relevant discipline

• At least 3 years in software development and system integration

• Experiences in C++ application development in Windows/Embedded platforms

• Knowledge or work experiences in the following areas is an added advantage:

➢ Java application development

➢ Web application using HTML/HTML5, JavaScript and JavaScript Framework (i.e. AngularJS, ExtJS, JQuery, Bootstrap)

➢ Interfacing with database (i.e. MS SQL, Oracle, MySQL) using ODBC/JDBC and SQL

➢ Multi-tier software architecture design and implementation

➢ Object-oriented software design and UML modelling

➢ Virtualization using Containerisation (e.g. docker)

➢ Applications development and deployment into Commercial Cloud (e.g. AWS)

➢ Application development for Desktops / Workstations

➢ Web services in Commercial Cloud (e.g. AWS)

➢ AWS Lambda Functions using Python or JavaScript

➢ Single Sign-on solutions (e.g. OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML)

➢ Secure communication (e.g. MQ, SFTP, FTP-S)

Responsiblities:

• Assist in managing incoming leads and inquiries, ensuring prompt response and proper routing to the appropriate sales representatives.
• Provide administrative assistance to the sales team, including data entry, scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, and preparing sales-related documentation.
• Assist in creating and formatting maintenance proposals, including assembling necessary documentation, cost estimates, and service details.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions, and project details using CRM software or other tools.
• Liaise with clients to schedule appointments, gather information, and relay important details between clients and the sales team.
• Conduct follow-up calls or emails to gather feedback, answer queries, and ensure client satisfaction after proposal submissions or sales interactions.
• Generate regular sales reports, performance metrics, and activity summaries for the sales team and management.
• Work closely with internal departments such as engineering, operations, and finance to coordinate project handovers, invoicing, and other operational aspects.
• Develop a basic understanding of ACMV systems and maintenance processes to facilitate effective communication with clients and internal teams.
• Assist the sales team with various ad hoc tasks, such as market research, competitor analysis, and preparing materials for client presentations.
   

Requirements:

• Diploma or equivalent in Engineering such as Mechanical or Electrical
• Previous experience in an administrative or sales support role is preferrer
•  Experience in the HVAC or maintenance industry is advantageous.
• Able to perform technical calculation (heat load, cold load), onsite visitation, selection.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with clients and internal teams.
