What’s the role?
We’re looking for customer-focused engineers to kick start their careers in a rewarding, high-performing, international company.
Who is Hilti?
If you’ve worked in engineering, you may well have heard of us. We provide leading-edge tools, technologies, software and services for the global construction sector. We have a proud heritage, built over 75 years, and a worldwide reputation for pioneering products and exceptional service. With some 28,000 people in more than 120 countries, we’re a great place for you to show us your worth as you learn, grow and carve-out your career.
What does the role involve?
Our products are specified by structural consultants, builders, and other specialist design and Engineering personnel. As a Field Engineer, you will be working with specifiers, customers, sales teams, and designers to drive the sales of specific products – and will have the opportunity to work on exciting and groundbreaking projects!
This involves building long-term relationships with specifiers to gain knowledge of specifications on projects and educating key influencers on construction projects about the proper use, advantages, and value of Hilti products.
You’ll then communicate these product specs to sales teams for the conversion into sales. It means visiting job sites to assess design problems - as well as opportunities - giving technical advice, solutions, support, and adding value by Hilti products.
It also involves keeping track of specifications in the CRM system, communicating specifications, and educating about Fastening Technology Manuals, technical literature, and design software through field visits and/or seminars. Conduct technical seminars in specifiers’ offices and at potential sites to develop both short and long-term business opportunities/leads for the company.
Day to day, you’ll report to your Field Engineering Manager, who will be involved in your career and long-term aspirations.
What do we offer?
We’ll give you what you need to excel in your role, including ongoing training and lots of responsibility from the start. In return for your exceptional performance and consistent results, you’ll receive one-to-one career mentoring, as well as exciting opportunities to move around the business.
Why should you apply?
We have an excellent mix of people, which we believe makes for a more vibrant, more innovative, more productive team. If you have two or more years’ experience in engineering or construction, it’ll be a big advantage.
More importantly, you need:
· A bachelor’s degree, ideally in civil or mechanical engineering
· An agile approach to solving problems with collaborative mindset
· Enthusiasm to learn and drive to succeed with business acumen
· Strong communication and influencing skills for relationship building
· Experience in design and construction process in projects will be an advantage
· Due to the nature of the position, a valid driving license is essential
