Job Scope:

• Create and analyze structural designs for buildings and infrastructure
• Oversee construction projects, ensuring timelines and budgets are met

Requirements:

• Minimum PhD or Master's degree in Civil and Structural Engineering (or equivalent)
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in Civil and Structural Engineering design
• Proficiency in steel 3D modeling, analysis, and design software (e.g., Rhino, Grasshopper)
• Proficiency in programming languages (C++, Python, Fortran)
• Ability to produce detailed layout drawings
• Experience in Tensile Membrane, ETFE Skylight, and Steelwork design is a plus

Job Description

As a structural engineer, you will be involved in the design of infra-structure/civil type of works (mostly Marine related). The department itself is involved in large and smaller projects locally and worldwide. In all our design activities we strive for an economic optimum where constructability plays a crucial role in our concept selection. Creative thinking together with your colleagues and our clients is very important. Our designs are performed according to the Industry Standards and within the agreed boundaries of quality, schedule, and costs.

As Structural Engineer you will be involved in:

• Civil/Structural Design and analysis (reinforced concrete, steel design, ship-shore design)
• Technical coordination between different marine civil infra-structure disciplines
• Involved in large international project with multinational project team
• Coordinate and review drafting work
• Projects range from Feasibility, FEED, Concept, Basic to Detailed Design
• Port planning projects (layout design, master planning, navigation and berthing assessments)
• Marine engineering (ship-shore interface design, design of berthing and mooring equipment, determine environmental loads on port structures like breakwaters, jetties, quay walls and offshore foundations

What are we looking for:

• Bachelor degree or Master degree in Civil Engineering, focus on structural engineering and affinity with coastal and geotechnical engineering
• Minimum 2 years relevant experience in the industry
• Prior working experience in Marine Civil Engineering projects preferred
• Ability to work well in multinational project team

Roles & Responsibilities

• Ensure that the civil and structural design and construction works comply with all the relevant Statutory acts, Regulations and Engineering Codes of Practice.
• Prepare submissions and clear authorities requirements which will include drawings, design calculations and report writing and other relevant material to meet the submission requirements.
• Monitor and ensure the submission schedules are met
• Preparation of tender specifications and documentations
• Attend project meetings, site inspections and consultation sessions
• Coordinate with the clients, architect, other consultants and contractors
• Work as a team member with colleagues, clients/other consultants/contractors to complete within schedules.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering recognised by Professional Engineers Board (PEB), Singapore
• Familiar with Codes of Practice, relevant regulations and submission requirements
• Competent user of relevant design software
• Able to work independently to support the QP
• Schedule driven and self-motivated
• Team player who able to interact and work with colleagues and member of other consultants at various level

Responsibilities:

• To manage and coordinate production of Quality BIM Models and construction documents with minimal supervision
• Manage and deliver a fully coordinated federated model in agreed formats
• Assists BIM Manager in the implementation of BIM
• Assist BIM Manager to update and revise BIM Models throughout the project life cycle
• Ensure BIM Models are modelled with correct BIM parameters and attributes for BIM base quantification and 4D simulation
• Collaborate with team and other relevant departments to ensure all drawings are in order as per design requirements
• Coordinate with Consultants, SWCs & sub-contractor
• Use of BIM for coordination, sequencing, constructability and as-built
• Review design and fabrication models and drawings
• Perform clash checks
• Perform QC before release and exchange of BIM Models

Requirements:

• Diploma or equivalent in C&S/ Architectural/ M&E/ Building services
• At least 1 years of working experience in the related field is required
• Formally trained in BIM or equivalent modelling training certification
• Proficient in BIM/ Revit (Architectural/ Structural and Reinforcement/ MEP modelling and Navisworks
• BIM Coordination experience using Autodesk/ Bentley software
