This is a permanent role with an A1 Main contractor. This is for an LTA project and therefore, if you have previous experience on LTA projects, the prior experience will be an added advantage.

The Role

This is a good opportunity for an experienced Structural RTO to represent Cundall onsite for one of Singapore projects. This will be a 9-months contract based role commencing in April 2025 with an opportunity for extension if required by project. Location is based in the west of Singapore. The main responsibilities are:

• To coordinate and to supervise the whole construction works of the Contractor on site and to agree on the detailed programme of work.
• To check and ensure that all necessary instructions have been given to the Contractor and authorization from the Head Office has been obtained.
• To check and ensure that all materials are ordered and delivered to the site by the Contractor in good time with all necessary permits obtained.

• After the completion of structural works by the Contractor, RTO shall verify that all constructed works are in accordance with approved authority drawings prior to authority inspections, and ensure that the finished works are free from defects and are functioning to its intended specifications.

The Role

• Prepare anchor bolt and set bolt lists for client procurement, ensuring compliance with safety factors and client specifications.
• Review and verify design outputs for accuracy and completeness.
• Serve as Assistant Key Person for smaller or NIDC projects.
• Coordinate with other engineers and designers to streamline the production of civil design and drawing deliverables.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Department Manager

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• At least 10 years of experience in plant engineering design and construction, particularly within the Oil & Gas, Refining, Petrochemical, Chemical, Pharmaceutical, or industrial sectors.
• Proficiency in using computer software and peripherals for engineering tasks.
• Basic knowledge of STAAD, AutoCAD, and MicroStation.
• Excellent communication, technical, and leadership skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to interpret technical data, contract reports, and instructions

• Carry out Civil and Structural related detailed design, drawings, analysis and calculation required.
• Responsible for the structural analysis, design and authority submission to liaise with client or contractor.
• Provide technical support and monitoring the construction progress, discuss with immediate Supervisor and give out solution on site issues.
• Prepare calculation and drawings for temporary or permanent structures in obtaining approval from authority.
• Check and review all Civil and Structural related drawings and documentation received from Contractor or Client.
• Can do drafting as assigned by immediate supervisor, inspection and other work assigned from time to time.
• Has knowledge in any related authority submission of projects

We are currently recruiting for experienced Executive Engineer (Civil & Structural) to join the Singapore Office in a growing engineering consulting business.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible to:

• To work with the Qualified Person (QP) to develop structural scheme for structures and buildings.
• To carry out engineering analysis to assess the stability and load to be sustained by the structures.
• To carry out engineering design in according with Eurocodes or relevant international design codes.
• To prepare submission to authorities for approval of design.
• Provide technical advice to team members/colleagues in supporting or leading role and embrace a culture that values teamwork
• To attend project meetings with Client, Project Manager and Consultants from other disciplines.
• To attend site progress meetings and reply to technical queries.
• To lead junior engineer in delivering design and seek clearance for all relevant parties and authorities
• To conduct supervision & contract administration when required

Key Requirements

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering recognised by Professional Engineers Board, Singapore.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with design of multi-storey/high-rise building from a local engineering consulting environment will be an advantage.
• Those registered as Professional Engineer with PEB and/or have more relevant working experience will be considered for senior role.
• Familiarity with codes of practice, relevant regulations and a working knowledge of authority submission and approval procedures.
• Competent user of relevant engineering software.
• Excellent written & spoken communication skills in English.
• Able to interact and work with colleagues and member of other consultants at various levels.
• A team, client and delivery focused working style.
