Responsibilities:

• Perform risk-based follow-up of Contractor(s) to ensure deliveries in line with scope of work, budget and schedule.
• Provide Contractor(s) with input, clarifications and maintain contact as necessary.
• Liaise with engineering & procurement department to ensure upstream deliverables are aligned.
• Contribute to planning and execution of C&A activities.
• Ensure QHSE performance of Contractor(s) is maintained with continuous improvement.
• Ensure necessary communication with interfacing disciplines and contribute to resolving interface issues in a timely manner.
• Within own discipline, drive engineering efficiency, secure safety in design, design-to-cost and constructability.
• During execution, support construction field engineers and take responsibility for decisions within own discipline within set timeframes, e.g. interdisciplinary input, handling of queries (TQ/SQ/CQ).
• Interfacing with Contractor(s) and client to bridge any communication gaps.
• Ensure experience transfer between projects, operations and discipline network.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering or related engineering disciplines, Diploma holders with relevant experience are welcomed to apply
• Candidates with at least 5 years of relevant experience in the marine & offshore industry
• Able to station overseas in China
• Able to work under pressure and in a fast paced environment
• Able to motivate in a challenging work environment
• Good in planning, organising, interpersonal skills and able to work independently

The Structural Engineer assists the Project Manager in the supervision of all structural works in Project Site. Ensuring that works are carried out by construction coordinators and subcontractors are in accordance with specifications, drawings and stipulated work programme. At the same time making sure that quality requirement, standards and structural construction materials are efficiently utilized. The Structural Engineer plays a key role in coordinating with client’s representative, subcontractor and other trade coordinators and BIM (Building Information Modelling) team, and managing a team of construction coordinators to ensure project is completed profitably.
