Role Overview

The Director of Digital Transformation will lead our digital initiatives, focusing on integrating innovative digital capabilities and experiences across the organization. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 8+ years of experience in technical troubleshooting and digital capabilities, with a focus on data-driven solutions using machine learning and AI.
• 5+ years of experience leading complex digital transformation programs involving cross-functional teams.
• Proven track record of delivering business results through AI-driven initiatives.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize data into useful formats.
• Experience with design thinking, iterative development methodologies, and AI technologies such as NLP, computer vision, and large language models (LLMs).
• Fluency in Python and experience with machine learning libraries such as Scikit-learn, and open source generative AI models.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Overall responsible for overall student recruitment business development

The Managing Director of SF Singapore will play a pivotal role in driving the company’s strategic vision and overseeing operations in Singapore and the broader Asia-Pacific region. As a key leader within Sumitomo Forestry Group, the Managing Director will manage the import, export, and wholesale of timber and building materials, while serving as the regional headquarters to oversee investments and real estate development projects in Japan, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, and other countries.

Job Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:
Define and implement the company’s business strategies in alignment with the Sumitomo Forestry Group’s global vision. Oversee the company’s performance across all business units and ensure operational excellence.

Regional Oversight:
Manage SF Singapore as a hub for trilateral trade, including the export, import, and wholesale of timber and building materials. Supervise and guide regional real estate investment and development projects, ensuring their profitability and alignment with corporate goals.

Business Development:
Identify new market opportunities in the Asia-Pacific region and develop strategic partnerships.
Enhance the company’s competitive edge by introducing innovative business practices and sustainable solutions.

Team Management:
Lead and inspire a diverse team, fostering a culture of collaboration and professional growth.
Ensure compliance with corporate policies, industry regulations, and sustainable business practices.

Job Key Requirements

1. Educational Background: A degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Engineering, or related fields.
2. Professional Experience: Extensive experience in international trade, particularly in the timber and building materials industry. Proven leadership experience in managing regional operations or serving as a senior executive.
3. Skills and Expertise: Strong knowledge of real estate investment and development in Asia.
   Exceptional strategic planning, management, and problem-solving skills.
   Proficiency in financial management and business performance analysis.
4. Additional Requirements: Fluency in Japanese; proficiency in other regional languages is required as he need to communicate with the Head office and other Stake holders.
5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
6. ISO14001 qualification is not required but familiarity with sustainable practices is appreciated.
