Job Requirements :

• Degree or equivalent
• Proficiency in Japanese is desirable as this role needs to prepare reports and presentations in Japanese and engage with the Japanese Financial Service Agency (regulator)
• Fluent English speaking / writing skills
• Working experience in business planning function in financial institution.
• Strong working experience in establishing business strategies, policies/procedures and/or processes.
• Working knowledge in ALM, Treasury and Capital Market space is desirable.
• Good people management skills, team oriented and able to work across all levels of the organisation.
• Self starter, strong stakeholder and team management skills
• Knowledge or working experience for managerial accounting.
• A minimum of JLPT N2 is required

Responsibilities

Sales

· Develop winning proposals, reports and insights for presentation to clients

· Contact clients to offer them business proposals or close sales deals

· Follow-up on marketing leads to secure potential sales opportunities

· Review sales records and develop action plans to increase sales figures

· Conduct research on appropriate strategies for increasing sales and customer base

· Prepare and present periodic sales reports to management to provide useful information for making key business decisions

· Carry out assessments to identify and eliminate inefficiencies and time-consuming processes

Sourcing

· Devise and use fruitful sourcing strategies and networks

· Discover new suppliers and develop new partnerships where economically viable

· Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms

· Finalize purchase details of orders and deliveries

· Review existing contracts for improvements

· Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the customers

· Foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and clients

Requirements

- Education and Training: Degree or Diploma in Business

- Minimum 10 years of work experience in procurement / vendor management role

- Minimum 10 years of work experience in Sales / Business Development

- Good network of contract manufacturers

- Good interpersonal skills

- Outstanding Analytical Skills: incumbent must be able to understand the market, analyze and conduct research to derive initiatives for improved sales

- Good insight into sourcing and sales processes with good negotiation and problem solving skills

- Strong contract structuring skills.

- In-depth knowledge of the Chinese market, including consumer trends, competitive dynamics, and regulatory considerations.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with experience managing cross-functional teams.

- Fluent in Mandarin and English, both written and spoken.

- Experience in beauty industry is a plus.

- Familiarity with digital transformation and innovation strategies.

- Strong negotiation skills and experience working with local partners and vendors.
