The VCS Services Sales Senior Director will have a core mandate to rapidly scale and expand the various services VCS offers within the Asia Pacific region, which includes (but not limited to) Visa Spend Clarity, Enhanced Data, Virtual Solutions and Payment Controls. VCS Services is core to driving VCS client stickiness and contributes to increased spend. • Account Management: Develop relationships and build knowledge with Visa Account Executives to ensure VCS services are understood and form a pillar within their overall account plans. Monitor and implement customer engagement strategies to ensure that revenue is realized to its full potential within existing customers that have enrolled in VCS services.
• Thought Leadership: Display thought leadership in technology driven commercial payments solutions and represent VCS at regional industry events. Continually educate and grow knowledge of the VCS Services value proposition within VCS and cross functions in all Asia Pacific markets.

• Articulating the high-level FFG opportunity for the Bank, and the breaking-down that by Business and Function (i.e. Portfolio), in order to provide clarity and transparency on the objectives of the Programme.
• Understanding the overall FFG Programme structure, covering all Portfolios, whether Business, Functional or pan-Bank, their teams, programmes, and initiatives.

• Working closely with the Portfolio Leads their delegates and teams for a range of workstreams (e.g. WRB, Procurement, Tech, CIB) to ensure that objectives are clear, and delivery is tracked and reviewed on a regular basis.

Job Requisition

Responsible for Trade Finance marketing and customer engagement, structuring Trade solutions, and meeting Trade KPIs for SMBC Singapore and GTFD.

Job Responsibilities

• To carry out marketing activities for trade finance products (LC/ guarantee issuance, LC confirmation / discounting, ARP, SCF, milestone basis mid-term trade solutions, structured trade, and ECA finance). Incumbent is expected to develop relationship with customers (non Japanese corporate clients, SG local companies and Global subsidiries in SG) and industry players to further the development of GTFD business.
• Responsible for marketing from origination, structuring, negotiation, documentation to deal execution for corporate clients. Managing workflow with team members from GTFD, other departments including but not limited to Coverage, Legal, Credit, Operations for successful deal management
• To demonstrate SMBC’s best practice by following internal rule & procedure, relevant regulations and compliance matters (understanding on mission statement & 5 values, related HQ policies, procedure manual, pre-consultation process, etc)
• Promoting the trade finance business collaboration between Japanese and Non-Japanese coverage team through the target customer’s account planning.
• Report progress on pipeline deals and updates on marketing activities, support Head of Working Capital in business and reporting activities.. Act as back-up for Manager for assigned areas during compliance leave or other periods as agreed with GTFD management.

Job Requirements

• Rich experience of trade finance marketing promotion, origination, structuring, commercial negotiation and deal execution.
• Strong customer centric mindset and active marketing attitude.
• Strong communication skill to manage key relationships internally & externally
• Demonstrate SMBC’s best practice as a role model, act as 1st line of defense and good sense of 2 CCF (customer/ compliance comes first)
• Ability to work on multiple tasks in parallel under pressure and to time constraints with significant changes.
