Our client is a fully digitized trade finance platform that brings businesses requiring supply chain financing with investors who invest in trade finance assets as an alternative asset class. They aim to become the leading platform in originating and distributing supply chain finance assets globally.
Role Summary:
They are looking for an ambitious individual with an entrepreneurial spirit to join their Commercial – Origination team focusing on Structuring and Solutioning. The individual will have a positive and friendly attitude with three primary areas of responsibilities
(1) developing client value propositions in the space of supply chain finance (“SCF”) and receivables finance (“RF”);
(2) Managing business and deal enablement;
(3) Leading end-to-end deal execution
Responsibilities:
(1) Developing client value proposition
- Collaborate with Corporate Coverage to co-develop the Supply Chain Finance (SCF) and Receivables Financing (RF) product strategy, focusing on market insights, identifying existing gaps, and exploring new opportunities.
- Create tailored transaction structures that meet client needs, address their pain points, and include appropriate risk mitigation solutions for internal stakeholders and investors.
- Give market feedback to the Trade Product team to help develop or enhance products and systems.
(2) Managing business and deal enablement
- Led the deal team to ensure that the execution timeline was met on schedule and escalated any gaps to the team.
- Collaborated with clients and internal teams to carry out corporate and transactional due diligence.
- Maintained high-quality standards in all document interactions by developing related investor materials and writing internal deal memos and approval documents.al memos and approval documents.
(3) Leading end-to-end deal execution
- Assist Corporate Coverage with all product-related aspects of prospecting and client pitches.
- Offer product expertise and collaborate with other internal teams to develop tailored solutions.
- Oversee all aspects of deal execution, working closely with Risk, Legal, and DS&I to ensure the timely and smooth execution of deal mandates.
Role-specific technical competencies:
- Understanding of Supply Chain Finance (SCF) and Receivables Financing (RF) products, along with associated risks such as credit risk, fraud risk, financial crime compliance (FCC) risk, and legal risks.
- Experience in managing cross-functional projects.
- Excellent skills in stakeholder management, communication, and presentations.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
Requirements
Qualifications (training, licences, memberships and certifications):
- A college degree is required; a master's degree is a plus.
- At least 6 years of experience in Transaction Banking, Corporate and Institutional Banking, or as a Corporate Credit Analyst.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to multitask.
- Works well in a team but also capable of working independently and making sound decisions.
