Associate Director – Payment Partnerships

Role Purpose:
We are hiring for the role of Associate Director of Payment Partnerships will manage and expand our relationships with key partners (banks, financial institutions, and other payment providers) to drive the adoption of our installment solutions across the Southeast Asia region.
This role will require a deep understanding of the payments ecosystem, a strong network in the banking and financial services sectors, and a proven track record in driving business development initiatives. This role will be based out of Singapore.
The Responsibilities We Entrust You With:
1. Strategic Partnership Management:
- Develop and execute the partnership strategy with key partners, including banks, financial institutions, and other payment providers, to drive the growth of our installment payment offerings in the SEA region
2. Relationship Building:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with partner’s senior stakeholders to expand the reach and adoption of our installment solutions.
3. Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new partnership opportunities to expand the adoption of installment products, working closely with Visa and other strategic partners to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
4. Product Integration and Rollout:
- Collaborate with product teams to ensure seamless integration of installment products with partner’s existing payment solutions and oversee the successful rollout of new features and functionalities.
5. Market Insights & Strategy:
- Analyse market trends, competitor offerings, and customer feedback to continuously refine and improve partnership strategies. Develop and present business cases to senior leadership, identifying key opportunities and risks.
6. Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with internal teams including product, marketing, legal, sales, customer success, and compliance to ensure the successful execution of partnership agreements, as well as compliance with local regulations. You will also be working very closely with the Director of Brand Partnerships to curate the best, joint offers for brands, merchants, issuers, and their customers.
7. Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
- Track and report on the performance of partnerships, including key performance indicators (KPIs) like transaction volume, user adoption, and revenue growth. Drive continuous improvement based on data-driven insights.
8. Negotiations & Contracting:
- Lead negotiations and the contracting process with potential partners, ensuring terms are favorable and align with the firm’s business objectives.
What Matters In This Role
Experience & Portfolio:
- 10+ years of experience in Payment Partnerships, Business Development in Fintech or Related Industry.
- Recent experience in Partnerships and Alliances.
Technical Skills & Efficiency:
- Strong understanding of Partnerships especially Payments and Fintech products ecosystem.
Communication & Ownership:
- Adept at articulation and communicating ideas and value propositions to stakeholders.
- Strong collaborator who enjoys working with multiple teams.
- Diligent adherence to regulatory norms and protocols.
