JOB SUMMARY

The Director of Sales leads, manages and oversees the room sales, room reservations & event sales for the hotel, ensuring maximisation of revenue. The Director of Sales collaborates & aligns the management team and extended teams to develop & implement strategies that are financially viable for the hotel; and in return, achieve profit & product leadership. This role requires a sales focused leader who understands hospitality sales, reservations, revenue management, and event planning & execution.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Works with the General Manager & extended teams to develop a sales & events plan that identifies market niche and segments & defines a tactical plan to focus on these.

2. Monitor and review sales production and adjust sales & events activities, account coverage and sales priorities in order to achieve / exceed planned goals.

3. Implementing sales plans that drive incremental occupancy, increase average rates and grow event sales.

4. Optimise room utilization by accessing the demand and supply for rooms & reservations.

5. Review reports & sales forecast to analyze current/potential market & sales trends.

6. Review regularly activity reports and ensure targets and Sales objectives are met.

7. Prepares necessary reports for management reporting.

8. Identifying, soliciting, influencing and converting highly valuable revenue opportunities.

9. Developing & maximising relationships with selected key accounts.

10. Builds and strengthens relationships with existing & new customers to enable future bookings. Activities to include sales calls, entertainment, hotel site inspections etc.

11. To be the key client contact on-the-ground, welcoming clients, conducting site visits, and management of VIP groups and client reservations.

12. To manage guest database and CRM, including history, spending trends, preferences.

13. Collaborate with the Marketing team on the following:

· create & develop special events & sales blitzes to showcase the hotel to potential clients.

· develop & enhance awareness & reputation of the hotel & the brand in the local community.

14. Assist in building sales collateral, printed materials, and mailers to drive awareness of the hotel.

15. Attend selected trade shows and market events to promote new business and increase sales and marketing opportunities for the hotel.

16. Propose and oversee the set-up of a viable sales administration system covering portfolio management to meet sales team’s needs.

17. Responsible for the people management of the sales team including but not limited to recruitment, performance management and development of the team.

Scope of Role:

Sales Leadership

As the Sales Senior Manager or Director, you will play a critical role in leading the sales strategy and execution for Zodia Custody in Singapore. You will be responsible for driving revenue growth by:

• Developing and implementing effective sales strategies that align with the company’s goals and market demands.
• Building and nurturing relationships with key client stakeholders, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
• Identifying market opportunities for new business and enhancing the company’s market presence.
• Analyzing sales data to inform strategy and improve performance metrics.
• Collaborating with marketing and product teams to align sales campaigns with product launches.
• Representing Zodia at client meetings, industry events, and conferences.

. Industry Knowledge

• Expertise in Digital Assets: In-depth understanding of blockchain, cryptocurrency, tokenisation, and the role of custodians in the digital asset ecosystem. Strong background in selling digital asset solutions or financial services products.
• Regulatory Awareness: Knowledge of Singapore financial regulations, including MAS requirements, PSA, and AML compliance.
• Custody and Security Expertise: Familiarity with custodial solutions, cold storage, multi-signature wallets, and other security technologies in the digital asset space.

2. Sales Skills

• 7+ years of experience in sales roles within digital assets or financial services, with minimum of 2 years within Crypto industry in any capacity
• Proven Sales Track Record: Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding sales targets, ideally in financial services, fintech, or digital assets.
• Pipeline Management: Ability to manage complex sales cycles, from lead generation to closing deals, with large institutional clients.
• Consultative Selling: Skills in understanding client pain points and delivering tailored solutions that align with their needs.

3. Strategic Thinking

• Market Insights: Ability to analyse market trends and position Zodia Custody as the preferred partner in Singapore.
• Solution Innovation: Capacity to adapt custody solutions to meet the evolving needs of institutional clients.
• Competitor Analysis: Awareness of competitors' offerings and ability to differentiate Zodia Custody in the market.

4. Operational Knowledge

• Product Knowledge: Strong understanding of Zodia Custody's services, including technology, security protocols, and value proposition.
• Integration Expertise: Familiarity with integrating custody services with existing client platforms (e.g., Fireblocks, treasury systems).
• Post-Sales Support: Ability to ensure a seamless client onboarding experience and maintain long-term relationships.

Roles & Responsibilties:

• Managing all resources of the assigned country sales and commercial department.

• Responsible for taking control of the entire department’s actions like setting goals and targets, developing strategies, assessing the performance of the sales team, and aligning sales goals with the company’s profitability goals.

• Design, strategize, and implement comprehensive sales & trade marketing plans to grow company’s brands in collaboration with key stakeholders both internal and external.

• Develop, implement, and assess the department’s effectiveness, identify errors, and make suitable changes in strategies to reach the targets and goals further, leading to overall profitability, sales, revenue generation, and business targets.
• Align the sales organization’s objectives with firm business strategy through active participation in corporate strategic planning, sales strategy development, forecasting, sales resource planning, and budgeting.

• Lead in partnership with various Sales & Marketing sections in HQ to drive the team and deliver high performance.

• Meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume, market share, and other key financial performance objectives.

• Through active, productive partnerships with Human Resources and Learning and Development functions, incumbent establishes learning and development objectives essential to the sales organization’s success, oversees the effective delivery of training and development programs, actively assesses the value of training and development investments, and monitors learning and development outcomes to ensure high ROI.

• Establishes and governs the sales organizations performance management system. This includes establishing guiding sales organizational principles for managing performance, establishing, and prioritizing critical performance measures for all sales jobs.

• Overseeing across all sales channels, markets, and personnel; and ensuring all key sales and sales management associates are held accountable for assigned results.

• Analyse business tactics, sales strategies, performance analysis of the sales teams, competitor analysis, and market research.

• Responsible for setting sales targets, determining sales initiatives’ effectiveness, and understanding the need for change. Setting analytical functions to monitor and forecast sales performance. Present analysis reports, presentations, and recommended strategy based on those analysis to the stakeholders. Represent the business communication between the departments and the stakeholders.

• Other ad-hoc tasks / projects as assigned by Chief Executive Officer / his assign representatives (Senior Management)

Requirements:

• A Master/Bachelors’ Degree in Sales / Marketing, Business Administration, or any other related field

• Minimum of 10 years of working experience in a commercial function, at similar/higher capacity preferably to have successfully led a team in developing and curating sales & trade marketing strategies on a regional level at similar capacity of Head of Sales / Head of Commercial / Sales Director / Commercial Director / Head of Trade Marketing & Distribution / Country Manager etc. within the industry.

• Must have industry (tobacco) working experience in well-known tobacco established companies.

• The candidate will also have proven and successful relationship building skills, having an ability to leverage partnerships across the business as well as externally.

• Strong ability to making data-driven decisions and comfortable in working with ROI and metric-driven models.

• Possess superior communication skills and confidence in communicating to stakeholders from differing background.

• Proficient in Ms Word, PowerPoint, and Ms Excel for presentations and reports.

• Exceptional problem-solving skills with strong entrepreneurial spirit. Creative and strategic thinker and yet detail-oriented in execution of plans.

• Able to prioritize and complete multiple projects in a timely manner, be self-motivated and proactive, and display composure and calmness under stress and uncertainty while inspiring the same in others.
