The Electrical Engineer assists and reports to the Senior Engineering Manager in the day-to-day product development research and testing activities including document its processes documentation.
Design electronic components, software, products, or systems for commercial, FMCG products and its applications. The person will design, plan, test and develop applications, modifications for electronic properties used in parts and systems to improve technical performance as well as supervising production process in ensuring its performance and quality.
Incumbent assist and responsible for the planning and coordination of the entire production process from managing staffing, coaching, and training, scheduling production runs, ensure adequate materials are available, and ensuring electrical components are in good working condition in supporting of demand/delivery schedules.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Develop state of the art products for current and new market segments.
- Electronics engineering to translate product requirements into hardware design.
- Seamless transition of products from design to manufacturing.
- Sound knowledge on EE Hardware and Software design and development process.
- Hardware (PCBA)
- Schematic/PCBA design verification
- Gerber release, PCB fabrication, PCBA build
- Board bring up, test, debug, and fixes
- Safety and regulatory agencies certification
- BOM, reports, documentation, and files releases
- Familiar with Altium Designer will be added advantage
2. Software (Firmware)
- Development of embedded software development and real time control systems.
- Engage in test driven firmware development.
- Create, design, and develop test specifications for new systems software.
- Conduct testing, including testing firmware/hardware interactions on the device system level.
- Familiar with firmware development for embedded hardware platforms (Arduino, ESP-IDF, ARM32/64) will be added advantage.
- Develops manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment and components
- Building and assembling electrical components; soliciting observations during production
- Assures product quality by designing electrical testing methods, testing finished products and products capabilities and customers users experience
- Prepares product reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information and trends
- Provides engineering information and solutions for devices.
- Maintains product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations
- Established procedures; to end user for requesting repair services
- Completes projects by providing training and guidance to technicians
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Able to adopt a philosophy of continual improvement and constantly identify/propose higher efficiency and increase the quality of the finished product.
- Ability to troubleshoot any problems that occur in the production process.

Qualifications & Requirements (Education, Experience, Skills, Knowledge, Etc)
- Minimum Bachelor of Science in Electrical / Electronic Engineering.
- Minimum 2 years of schematic design and PCB layout.
- Experience in designing electronic components, integrated circuitry, and algorithms. Board design in R&D environment will be added advantages.
- Experience with electromechanical, thermal, and power management is preferred.
- Experience with software/firmware programming, design specification and requirements and verification and validation.
- Project Management, Quality Focus, Database Design, analysing information etc.
- Efficiency in reporting research results, attentive to detail, emphasizing excellence in Innovation.
- Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills.
