BAND 1 JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Description

• The Band 1 – Desktop Technician will provide day to day local\remote desktop support, receive inbound calls, answer questions, troubleshoot and document steps performed to resolve challenges with hardware, software and application issues in a ticketing system. The candidate will also need to facilitate customer resolution for calls and engage their supervisors and managers to ensure operational consistency across all shifts within the IT Support Center. Desktop Support Engineer provides Break Fix, fault diagnosis and resolution. Providing fault analysis to customer’s various core operating systems and platforms, as well be able to provide support and apply desktop fault resolution for the approved application suite. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Responsible for installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of current installed base of XRD & XRF for APAC.

· Troubleshoot, diagnose customer problems, and coordinates appropriate corrective action directly.

· Conform always to Malvern Panalytical and customer’s safety, cleanliness, and working protocol policies to maintain a safe and clean work environment.

· Ensure that guidelines and standards of work expected by Malvern Panalytical are understood and met. Carry out preventative maintenance activities to installed base as per factory guidelines.

· Provide Service Support and basic training after installation.

· General Service administration activities and report submission.

· Responsible for proper spare part handling per internal procedures.

Qualifications:

· Diploma Electrical Engineering & Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related education. Knowledge of Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical, Electronics, Mechanics preferred.

· 2~3 of experience in maintaining analytical instruments or semiconductor equipment is preferred.

· Able to read circuit diagrams, technical manual in English.

· Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills with MS office proficiency.

· Self-sufficient in computer/networking skills necessary to analyse logs, summarize data.

· Able to travel both domestically and internationally on short notice.

• Undertake construction supervision as RE of underground building works and civil infrastructure, involving site inspection, meetings and review of drawings and method statements in accordance to customer specifications, applicable codes, standards and other generally accepted practices
• Carry out independent design checks for temporary formwork and formwork support system

• Review and comment on contractor's submissions
• To review and supervise safety, environmental and health matters

• Support the production of scalable and optimised AI/machine learning (ML) models
• Focus on building algorithms for the extraction, transformation and loading of large volumes of realtime, unstructured data to deploy AI/ML solutions from theoretical data science models.
• Run experiments to test the performance of deployed models, and identifies and resolves bugs that arise in the process.
• Work on functional design, process design (including scenario design, flow mapping), prototyping, testing, training, and defining support procedures
• Work in a team setting and apply knowledge in statistics, scripting and programming languages required by the firm.
• Work with the relevant software platforms in which the models are deployed.
• Serve as liaison between stakeholders and project teams, delivering feedback and enabling team members to make necessary changes in product performance or presentation.
