We are looking for an (Network) Engineer to join the PPI team to expand and maintain direct integrations with payments systems and partners all over the world.

What is the PPI team?

The PPI team sits within our Platform tribe, which designs, builds and operates the foundational direct integration infrastructure that power the product that moves £4 billion every month.

Here’s how you’ll be contributing to the Team

• Design, implement and maintain integrations between Wise and complex financial systems
• Develop and design scalable and repeatable network architecture and computer systems infrastructure
• Communicate with various stakeholders throughout Wise, plan roadmaps with your team, and work through challenges to determine scope and realistic delivery
• Working and collaborating with our larger platform engineering team and alongside product engineering on global projects
• Work with Leads and Staff Engineers to influence the direction and change current technology implementations in order to improve and modernise current Payment Integrations solutions.
• Ensure reliable connectivity and uptime across all network components.

• Experience in designing and deploying complex infrastructure on cloud and on-prem
• Experience in making complex deployments repeatable using modern Infrastructure as Code principles and scripting
• Applying software development principles to infrastructure design and deployment
• Ability translating business requirements into explainable technical solutions for internal and external stakeholders
• Experience in leading and managing technical workstreams
• Experience with complex deployments (e.g., configuring firewalls, IPsec, GRE, security policies, network ACLs, BGP routing, and troubleshooting complex networks)

As part of the mission, we are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to work in our Singapore Laser Manufacturing facility in Kaki-Bukit, Singapore who can drive improvements in the quality and reliability of fiber based and solid-state laser products and production processes. This role will have responsibility for developing, maintaining, and improving the Quality control systems and processes for a variety of critical laser systems as well as leading by influence to drive quality within the culture of the organization.

A successful candidate will have a strong work ethic to meet the occasional high intensity workload for customer commitments. A persuasive personality with strong communications skills is needed to influence key cross-functional stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:

• Quality engineering support for manufacturing and project management
• Develop inspection requirements; facilitate PFMEAs; resolve discrepant material issues and create and maintain quality documents such as control plans and inspection plans
• Act as the quality interface for the laser production team in responding to customer complaints using failure analysis, development of corrective and preventative actions and trend analysis
• Conduct audits, including closing out audit findings, create audit finding reports and determine proper corrective and preventative actions
• Coach and mentor Quality Engineers.
• Support validation activity of processes, equipment, and metrology
• Support and comply with the company Quality System, ISO, and requirements
• Establish and maintain quality control processes and procedures for optomechanical components and systems.
• Develop and maintain quality documentation including inspection plan, test protocols, quality control procedures and reports.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Masters Degree in Mechanical, Optical, Optomechanical Engineering or related Engineering Science
• 6 years of experience in engineering in a machining or manufacturing setting
• With good experience in optic testing, optic inspection and experience liaising with optic suppliers and manufaturers.
• Experience in Optomechanical design including knowledge of optical principles, components, and optical system integration.
• Solid understanding of Mechanical Engineering Principles including Structural analysis, Material selection, Tolerance analysis and Manufacturing Process.
• Knowledge in integrating optical components including alignment, fixture design and calibration procedures.
• Knowledge of quality systems, regulatory requirements, and industry standards
• Advanced knowledge of blueprint reading and GD&T
• Ability to operate a variety of inspection equipments
• Statistical expertise with DOE and Capability Studies
• Design software- CAD (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD), Minitab, Python, Jump etc
• Strong and thorough knowledge of quality engineering discipline, including:
  • Quality data collection and data analysis
  • Understanding of statistical methods, including population sampling, hypothesis testing

Preferred Qualifications / Competencies:

• Previous Laser or Optics industry experience is highly desired.
• Familiarity with statistical analysis techniques, such as Weibull Analysis and Gage R&R, as well as appropriate software tools, such as Minitab or JMP
• Familiarity with the following areas: Process Validations (IQ, QQ, PQ), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), Structured Problem Solving (8D) and/or Root Cause Analysis - Corrective and Preventive Actions (RCA-CAPA)
• Previous experience with Risk Management, Engineering Change Control, Handling of Deviations and Non-conformances & Lean Six Sigma
• Experience working with cross functional teams (Engineering, Operations, Sales)
• Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner, with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities:

• Provide end user support for desktop computers, notebooks, printers, applications, basic networking, etc
• Deployment, configuration & troubleshooting on end user issues
• Evaluate existing end user computing resources
• Work with IT infrastructure team and external vendors to resolve user issue

The Senior Building Engineer is responsible, but not limited to, the following:

General

• Responsible for dealing with authorities, client and consultant management.

Planning & Programming

• Plan construction sequence for various work trades.

Quality

• Highlight technical issues and get updates from Design Department on changes and distribute to vendors, engineers and supervisors.
• Coordinate with M&E Section for smooth integration of M&E Services into building works.
• Evaluate subcontractors’ risk assessment, safe work procedures and method statements.
• Co-ordinate and control actual construction works on daily, weekly and monthly basis.
• Assist QS in measuring work done.
• Assist in implementing Quality System on site.
• Review daily reports from vendors and ensure all daily activities are properly recorded in the reports prior to circulation to Project Director/Manager.
• Ensure that document control and site records are properly updated in compliance to PQP.
• Check all works conform to relevant authorities’ requirement.
• Handle technical and engineering problems.

Procurement, Contract, VOs, EOTs

• Check all requirements in contract documents, drawings and specifications and ensure that variation orders for Building Section are properly implemented with cost implication recorded.

Safety

• Responsible for site implementation of safety standards to comply with IMS safe work methods.
• Responsible for attendance to daily site coordination meeting and provide detail coordination with subcontractors.

Others

• Do up Building subcontractor/supplier performance assessment after work/services completion.

(C) Minimum Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Building, Engineering or Architecture.
• At least 6 years of project management and site experience in building and construction, civil and structural projects.
• Experienced in large scale construction projects.

(D) Personality:

• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead Building Engineers and provide supervision subordinate Building staff.

(E) Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Strong technical knowledge in current construction technologies.
• Strong understanding of general construction methods and in areas of building and structural details; working drawings.

• Familiar with MS, Primavera and other software to develop construction schedule.
