What you’ll do as a Solutions Engineer

You are the technical lynchpin through the entire sales cycle - pre and post sales. You will work closely with our mid-market prospects and customers to educate, empower, and ensure their success on the Cloudflare platform. Your technical expertise in Cloudflare’s global distributed network and technology will allow you to find best-fit solutions for prospects, to train and onboard new customers via video-conference or in person, through documentation, and to support the long-term success of the customer. As a subject matter expert on web/mobile security and performance, you are a trusted source for developing new firewall rules from log files, crafting performance caching and delivery strategies, and creating or repurposing internal tools and scripts for customers.

As a Solutions Engineer, you are the technical customer advocate within Cloudflare. To aid your customers, you will work closely with every team at Cloudflare, from Sales and Product, through to Engineering and Customer Support. Responsibilities

Preferred qualifications

• Previous consultant negotiation and management skills associated with design, construction and project execution

• Experience with fast track design/build projects and or multiple significant upgrade projects

• Experience with large scale technical operations or large-scale compute farms and knowledge of building codes and regulations

• Ability to research new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities and to carry new design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment/construction

• The ability to perform complex business case analysis to justify technical decisions and present the justification to management in a high level review

Responsibilities:

· Design, develop, and maintain web application using Django framework

· Implement best practices for code organization, version control, testing

· Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards, design principles and architectural guidelines

· Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that adheres to coding standards and best practices.

· Troubleshoot and debug issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on project timelines.

· Collaborate with DevOps to optimize performance, scalability and reliability

· As a part of troubleshooting and requirement gathering, the engineer should be able to visit the sites in Singapore with the business team when requested.

Requirements:

· Proven experience (5+ years)

· Strong proficiency in Django framework, including ORM, views, forms, authentication, and RESTful API

· Experience in Django is preferred

· Strong understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices

· Expertise in database design and optimization, working with relational database such as PostgreSQL, etc

· Experience working with AWS

· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on delivering scalable and maintainable solutions.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Develop and incorporate PLC and SCADA control systems tailored to project specifications.
• Integrate intelligent sensors, machine PLCs, HMI, and SCADA with SCHOTT standard software to gather data and monitor machine or production performance, such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
• Focus on retrofitting PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems, primarily using Siemens technology.
• Collaborate closely with the Operation Technology (OT) team in Germany, production teams, other global plants to setup / roll out new projects within the SCHOTT OT architecture (training will be provided).
• Support on machine trouble shooting when necessary.

Requirements:

• Minimum of a diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Computer, or Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field, with >2years of experience.
• Proficient understanding of automation technologies such as PLCs and SCADA, industrial protocols including OPC-UA, Modbus, and Ethernet/IP, as well as basic network architecture.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Experienced in using Siemens S7, TIA Portal, WinCC, and HMI programming. Capable of reading and writing Siemens S7 PLC (ladder) codes and programming HMI touch panels or SCADA systems (WinCC) or equivalent.
• Knowledgeable in programming languages like C++, Python, and basic PC-based control systems including C++, C#, .NET, and embedded systems development.
• Hands-on experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) or Process Control Systems (PCS).
• Logical thinker and quick learner.
• Familiarity with SQL and Linux OS is beneficial.
• Project management experience is a plus.
• Experience with Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV) and Robotics is also advantageous.
