This is a contract position with a large consultancy company that is involved in a rail project.

Job Description:

• Designing signalling layouts and systems, including track circuits, interlocking systems, and automatic train control (ATC).
• Specifying hardware and software for signalling equipment like signals, switches, and train detection systems.
• Ensuring systems comply with safety standards (e.g., CENELEC, IEC).
• Overseeing the installation of signalling equipment on-site.
• Conducting testing and validation to ensure proper functionality.
• Certifying systems for operation in collaboration with safety assessors and regulatory bodies.
• Developing preventive maintenance schedules for signalling equipment.
• Diagnosing and resolving faults in signalling systems to minimize operational disruptions.
• Upgrading aging systems to meet modern standards or integrate with new technologies.
• Designing fail-safe systems to ensure trains stop safely in case of a failure.

Skills Required:
