Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Supply Chain Executive located in Singapore. The Supply Chain Executive will be responsible for demand planning, production planning, communication, and supply chain operations. The Supply Chain Executive will also be required to possess strong analytical skills to identify areas for improvement and streamline processes.
Qualifications & Experience
- Research, evaluate potential suppliers and develop new vendors in accordance to company’s SOP
- Prepare monthly S&OP while balancing supply and demand for a six month horizon
- Source and procure materials or equipment according to project requirements (RFQ/BOM)
- Leverage the company wide supply chain to achieve lead time and cost targets
- Negotiate and coordinate with suppliers and cross-functional departments for best possible price and delivery time with the quality required for each project
- Expedite and follow up with suppliers for on-time delivery to support production and projects
- Coordinate with forwarding agencies for customs clearance of imports and exports
- Maintain the company's database by updating and filing all material requisitions, quotations and purchase orders as per company’s SOP
- Coordinate with store to check stock levels as required and place order(s) as needed
- Prepare and distribute procurement and delivery reports to respective departments in a timely manner
- Liaise with Supply Chain Manager for any improvement to the purchasing process/flow/system to enhance the work efficiency and effectiveness.
- Taking responsibility for purchasing of goods during all stages from material requisition (MR) till purchase order (PO) closed in the system.
- Submit weekly report to Supply Chain Manager reflecting accurate update on goods purchased and highlighting any issues.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this role should possess:
- Strong Communication skills to effectively collaborate with suppliers, customers, and internal teams
- Experience in Supply Chain Operations to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products
- Excellent Analytical Skills to identify areas for improvement and optimization of processes
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business or related field
- Experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Xero is preferred
- Ability to speak Mandarin / read & write in Chinese is essential due to daily interaction with Chinese vendors
