About the Role:

General Overview

This position is part of the site Mechanical team that provides technical/maintenance support to the Operation and Project teams in LNG Terminal. • Lead the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, commissioning and replacement of mechanical static equipment and piping systems.
• Manages the in-house contractor and equipment vendor to execute mechanical work/improvements within the terminal to ensure safe work execution and gas supply reliability
• Responsible to ensure compliance to applicable regulations/industry best practices, safe to operate, fit for purpose, maintainable and reliable for the site’s modified or newly build mechanical systems (such as marine loading arm, pumps, pressure vessel, safety device , etc).
• Manage and ensure list of statutory equipment (lifting machine, lifting gears, pressure vessel, safety valves, etc) are timely serviced and inspected in accordance to statutory codes and compliance standards
• Perform root cause analysis on equipment failure and provide recommendations to resolve technical issues which may also arise from vibration, RT, UT, oil and other analysis as part of predictive maintenance programmes
• Manage and maintain historical information on static and rotating equipment such as running hours, data statistical information on all plant shut down and loss of production events caused by mechanical systems, engineering documents and review applicable codes and standards for compliance purpose
• Lead technical discussions, execute and manage project schedules and cost and collaboration with external and internal stakeholders, vendors for end of life and improvement project using SLNG Management of Change (MOC) process for mechanical equipment
• Liaise with external stakeholder including government agencies on approval and risk of shutdown of mechanical system that will affect gas-send out
• Participate in RCA, RBI, HAZID, HAZOP, Model Review studies for mechanical packages, co-ordinates and close out Mechanical related issues
• Participate in emergency response and may be assigned to a specific role and responsibility for such purpose

Work Experience

• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in maintenance of plant equipment, rotating machinery and static equipment, preferably in oil/petrochemical or related industries
• Good knowledge and experience working on different types of in-service pipeline inspection. Knowledge of the LNG / natural gas or other hydrocarbon industries an advantage
• Relevant technical experience in maintenance of mechanical/ machinery systems i.e compressor, pump, pressure vessel, hydraulic components and piping system.
• Conversant with local codes, regulations and standards, equipment inspection and schedule requirements. Certified in API, vibration and other analysis standards will be well regarded

Element has an opportunity for an Calibration Engineer to join our rapidly expanding team.In this role, you will manage the equipment calibration within Element Singapore and Malaysia business units. Direct responsibility to Principal Quality Manager with functional responsibility to General Manager. The position will require the candidate to be eligible for permanent employment in Singapore. The Calibration Engineer is responsible for calibrating equipment and maintenance of records throughout the Element Singapore and Malaysia business units.

This role is based in Sungei Kadut Loop, Singapore.

Job Duties:

1. Calibration of Equipment: (a) Perform regular calibration of testing and measurement, equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards. (b) Verify and adjust instruments to meet technical specifications and industry guidelines.
2. Documentation and Reporting: (a) Maintain detailed calibration records, including test results, adjustments made, and equipment performance trends. (b) Generate calibration certificates and reports as required.
3. Compliance and Standards: (a) Ensure all equipment adheres to international, national, and organisational calibration standards (e.g., ISO/IEC 17025). (b) Support audits by providing necessary calibration documentation and demonstrating compliance.
4. Equipment Maintenance: (a) Monitor the performance of equipment to identify potential calibration or maintenance needs. (b) Conduct preventive maintenance and troubleshoot issues to minimise downtime.
5. Procedure Development: (a) Develop, review, and refine calibration procedures for various equipment types. (b) Standardise processes to improve efficiency and reliability.
6. Collaboration with Teams: (a) Work closely with the Quality team and Operational teams to address calibration needs. (b) Provide technical support and guidance to resolve instrument-related issues.
7. Training and Knowledge Sharing: (a) Train team members on proper calibration techniques and the importance of maintaining equipment accuracy. (b) Stay updated on new calibration methods, tools, and industry advancements.
8. Risk Management: (a) Identify risks associated with uncalibrated or faulty equipment and implement strategies to mitigate them. (b) Perform root cause analysis for calibration failures or discrepancies.
9. Inventory Management: (a) Maintain an inventory of calibrated tools, instruments, and reference standards. (b) Schedule periodic calibration and ensure timely replacement of outdated or damaged equipment.
10. Data Analysis and Trend Monitoring: (a) Analyse calibration data to identify trends, deviations, or potential areas of improvement. (b) Recommend corrective actions to improve equipment reliability and accuracy.
11. Regulatory Support: (a) Assist in external and internal audits by providing accurate calibration records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
12. Innovation and Process Improvement: (a) Propose and implement enhancements in calibration methods, technologies, and practices to increase efficiency and accuracy

Job Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor Degree in in Materials Science or Materials Engineering
• Experience of working in an ISO / IEC 17025 calibration environment is a prerequisite.
• Effective organizational and time management skills with the ability prioritize activities.
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues and work effectively as part of a team.

As a Retrofit Engineer, you will be in charge of BoM and technical support for Pressure Safety Valves (Consolidated) and Control Valves (Masoneilan). You will also provide a global engineering support focused on Channel Partners and Aftermarket Centers for the selection, repair, maintenance, and replacement of Masoneilan and Consolidated products.

As a Retrofit Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Executing design and analysis of assigned projects to develop valves meeting customer application needs, specification requirements, complying with local design/product standards.
• Reviewing customer specifications and “translating” customer specification in to order instructions for manufacturing of valves.
• Providing Retrofit solutions, with bills of material, drawing information, test specifications and processing instructions to meet quality and manufacturing requirements.
• Creating the design review process, ensuring accuracy, quality and design for manufacturability goals are met.
• Enabling the use of design tools (like 2D / 3D CAD (SolidWorks / ProE / UG), Excel, and in-house design calculations.
• Engaging with sales to support the quotation activities.
• Identifying, Own and Enable such initiatives which are in line with business objectives.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering (or) Equivalent from an accredited uni or college.
• Have a minimum 12-15 yr of experience in an Engineering Design / Analysis /Scientific / Technical Position.
• Have at least 7 yr of Control Valve and/or Safety valve Design Expertise.
• Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work as a team.
• Have knowledge of control valve and/or safety valves including instrumentation and actuator.
• Have good understanding and experience in Valves regarding applications, Material of Construction, Non-Destructive Tests.
• Have experience with ASME B16.34 and PED, 3D design (Solid works/Ansys), mechanical design & tech writing.
• Have basic knowledge of manufacturing processes such as casting, machining, welding or cutting etc.
