1. JOB SUMMARY

The SAAC Engineer handles security operations, oversees officers, ensures systems, and supports compliance under EHSS leadership.

1. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Security Operations:

- Develop and implement security protocols to ensure the safety of personnel, assets, and property.
- Oversee and coordinate the deployment and performance of security officers provided by external security agencies.
- Monitor and address security incidents, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Conduct risk assessments, threat & vulnerability assessments, gap analysis, and site audits to evaluate and improve security measures.
- Draft, implement, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for security operations.

Security Infrastructure and Systems:

- Design, install, and maintain physical security systems, including CCTV, access control, and alarm systems.
- Identify and rectify deficiencies in existing security infrastructure to maintain functionality and compliance.
- Plan and execute upgrades or modifications to security systems and infrastructure.
- Evaluate advancements in physical security technology and recommend improvements.

Documentation and Compliance:

- Prepare and maintain all security-related documentation, such as incident reports, risk assessments, and compliance records.
- Ensure that all security operations and infrastructure comply with local laws, regulations, and corporate policies.
- Provide detailed reports and updates to the Head of EHSS regarding security operations and incidents.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, and system updates.

RBA and SAAC Responsibilities:

- Ensure compliance with anti-corruption policies and RBA Code of Conduct requirements within security operations and the broader supply chain.
- Manage documentation and preparation for RBA audits, including supplier contracts, training records, incident reports, and corrective action plans.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions to address non-compliance findings.
- Support anti-corruption training and awareness programs for internal teams, suppliers, and vendors.
- Monitor and report progress on RBA-related compliance activities to the Head of EHSS.

Stakeholder Coordination:

- Work closely with internal stakeholders to address security concerns and implement solutions.
- Liaise with external security agencies, suppliers, and vendors to ensure their compliance with security and anti-corruption requirements.
- Serve as the point of contact for regulatory authorities and auditors during compliance inspections and RBA audits.

1. MINIMUM ACADEMIC REQUIREMENT

- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Security Management, Engineering, EHS, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

- Minimally graded as SS by PLRD
- Significant experience in physical security operations, infrastructure management, and stakeholder coordination.
- Expertise in physical security systems, such as CCTV, access control, and intrusion detection systems.
- A background in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in preparing and managing security documentation, including compliance reports.

The focus of the role includes working extensively with storage technologies like HP Nimble, Dell Storage, NetApp, and Hitachi, ensuring high availability, performance, and data protection for critical business systems.

Key Responsibilities

1. Storage Management

Install, configure, and maintain Storage Area Networks (SAN) and enterprise backup solutions.

Perform health checks, monitoring, and troubleshooting for HP Nimble, Dell, NetApp, and Hitachi devices to ensure optimal availability and performance.

Integrate storage solutions (including HP Nimble, Dell, NetApp, and Hitachi storage arrays) into customer IT infrastructures, ensuring seamless interoperability.

Perform firmware updates and necessary system upgrades for storage devices, including Hitachi SAN environments.

Maintain detailed documentation for storage configurations, maintenance tasks, and troubleshooting procedures.

Manage disk partitioning and Logical Unit Number (LUN) assignments (create, modify, or delete LUNs).

Actively monitor and manage multiple storage subsystems (HP Nimble, Dell, NetApp, and Hitachi SAN environments) for optimal performance and reliability.

Conduct capacity planning and performance tuning for HP Nimble, Dell, NetApp, and Hitachi storage arrays.

Troubleshoot zones and switch-related issues for SAN environments, particularly involving Cisco/Brocade SAN switches.

Administer and manage security configurations within the storage subsystems.

2. Backup Solutions Management

Administer Symantec Backup environments and manage enterprise backup solutions.

Schedule and configure backup jobs, ensuring data protection and integrity across NetApp, Hitachi, and other systems.

Optimize backup server performance and provide troubleshooting support as needed.

Quickly resolve backup-related issues to minimize potential data loss.

Perform capacity planning for tape libraries and backup servers to support growing data needs.

3. Disaster Recovery (DR)

Plan and execute Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies for critical systems, ensuring quick and reliable recovery.

Verify successful recovery of production or DR servers after DR exercises.

4. Storage Solution Implementation

Collaborate with customers to integrate HP Nimble, Dell, NetApp, and Hitachi Storage solutions into their infrastructure.

Prepare test plans and perform functional checks to validate that storage systems meet customer requirements.

5. Additional Duties

Provide second- and third-level support for advanced storage issues, particularly with HP Nimble, Dell, NetApp, and Hitachi solutions.

Assist with data center shutdown activities and recovery operations as needed.

Requirements

Education

Recognized Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business IT, or related fields.

Experience

Minimum 5 years of experience in managing Enterprise Backup Solutions and Storage Area Networks (SAN).

Hands-on experience with:

HP Nimble Storage: Administration, troubleshooting, and configuration.

Dell Storage: Working with arrays, SAN systems, etc.

NetApp Storage: Implementation, management, and troubleshooting.

Hitachi Storage: Configuration, administration, and integration.

Additional experience with:

IBM V3700 and V7000

EMC Unity/VNX

NETAPP Storage: FAS, AFF series.

Hitachi VSP, HNAS, and HCP Systems

EMC Isilon/NAS Products

Cisco/Brocade SAN switches

NETBACKUP or Veeam

IBM Tape Libraries

Experience with storage replication, backup configurations, and conducting DR exercises.

Proficiency in power cycling storage devices and upgrading SAN switches.

Desirable

Prior experience working in the government sector or within a services business in a high-tech environment.

Familiarity with SAN protocols, including FC, iSCSI, and FCoE.

Extensive experience in managing and optimizing Hitachi and NetApp storage systems, including ONTAP and VSP management.

Responsibilities:

• To assist the Project Manager on project site work by focusing mainly on the aspects of construction, safety quality management, and project coordination of projects and maintenance works and to ensure smooth work progression and completion within target time and budget.
• Prepare method statements, design plans, and specifications.
• Liaise with the stakeholders (e.g. clients, authorities, consultants) on permits, drawings, and design matters.
• Develop projected milestone and operational plans for different phases of the project which includes scheduling, monitoring and reviewing of the work of others.
• Determine project requirements and estimate resources such as manpower, materials and equipment.
• Ensure that site works are executed accordingly based on approved detailed drawings, interpreted plans, and requirements of relevant authorities.
• Ensure project meets dateline/schedule, safety & quality standards of client’s requirements. Support contract administration and construction inspection by reviewing final plans, specifications, special conditions, and agreements.
• Other job duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate/NiTEC, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Engineering (Civil), Engineering (Others), Engineering (Environmental/Health/Safety), or equivalent.
• At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Specializing in Engineering - Civil/Construction/Structural or equivalent.
• Familiar with Civil, Archi & Steel Structural Works
• Experience in process plants handling both consultants with client will be added advantage
