Our client, a renowned global expert in high-quality motion control across various applications and industries, is seeking a Sales Manager for the ASEAN Region.
Responsibilities include managing customer relationships, coordinating technical and commercial activities, ensuring quality, and achieving continuous improvement while balancing customer needs with company interests.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer & Partner Management:
- Develop strategies for assigned accounts, including product and pricing strategies.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain regular engagement with customers and sales partners through visits and feedback collection.
- Monitor customer payment behavior and manage overdue payments.
- Lead change management initiatives and negotiate pricing adjustments.
2. Market Development:
- Identify and acquire new customers.
- Analyze market data, trends, and potential; develop market strategies.
- Provide sales forecasts and ensure sales targets are met.
3. Key Account Management:
- Manage assigned accounts and support global Key Account activities.
- Maintain and update won-lost lists and project management deliverables.
- Generate reports on account status and actions.
4. Quotations & Contracts:
- Address technical requests with engineering teams and prepare customer quotations.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts while ensuring compliance.
5. Application Engineering:
- Coordinate projects between customers, engineering teams, and global operations.
- Support new developments, design changes, and approvals.
- Address quality complaints and facilitate solutions.
6. Dealer Network Management:
- Identify and onboard new sales partners.
- Train sales partners and customers on product offerings.
- Develop and manage dealer networks to optimize sales.
7. Competitor & Market Analysis:
- Monitor competitor activities, product ranges, and market trends through customer interactions and industry events.
8. Systems & Processes:
- Utilize CRM, SAP, and internal systems to manage claims, reports, and operational data.
Qualifications:
- 5–10 years of experience in the automotive industry.
- Technical degree, preferably in mechanical engineering.
- Strong sales experience; familiarity with SAP and Microsoft Office preferred.
- Proven ability to analyze markets, negotiate contracts, and manage key accounts.
Soft Skills:
- Strategic thinker with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive problem-solver with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
