QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

• Degree holder e.g. MBA, CFA or actuarial qualification (graduates in business, strategy or management would be an advantage).
• Over 10 years of experience in insurance and financial services specializing in consultancy, product development, customer engagement or customer journey management
• Working experience in a regional office with proven track record of leading and delivering regional initiatives to countries would be an advantage.
• Experience of working with a highly entrepreneurial and rapidly growing start-up/ e-commerce businesses
• Consultancy experience in financial services would be an advantage

(A) Principle duties and responsibilities

• Manage, supervise and lead the compliance team, setting clear objectives and providing ongoing training

The Role

Custody Operations Manager is responsible for managing the custody framework to safeguard funds maintained in the Trust account on behalf of investors. The incumbent submits custody reports to senior management for management oversight, and ensures the custody processes comply with the regulations and the Group policies and procedures. This role is based in Singapore.

Responsibilities

• Managing the custody framework for complying with regulatory, policy standards and procedures
• Perform regular reviews of the custody services and systems
• Escalate any potential issues to the senior management
• Monitor the safekeeping and movement of customers’ monies in Trust account
• Ensures timely reconciliation of the funds in the Trust account
• Process funds withdrawn from Trust account based on investors’ authorisation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate custody services within Chintai
• Stay up to date with industry best practice and compliance requirements
• Provide support to internal stakeholders on custody-related matters
• Prepare and present custody reports to the senior management for oversight on custody activities

Experience & Qualifications

1. Degree or higher in finance, business administration
2. Minimum 5 years of direct experience in custody services with regulated financial institutions.
3. Strong knowledge of custody practices and processes
4. Familiarity with tokenization of digital assets
5. Good knowledge of compliance requirements for custodial services
6. Excellent leadership and managerial skills
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
8. Good communication skills with stakeholders at all levels
