Roles & Responsibilities
A Warehouse Manager completes various management, organization and planning tasks to maintain high performance of the warehouse’s storage and shipment processes. Their duties and responsibilities often include:Audit and report inventory while making recommendations on which items to order and restock
Manage warehouse associates, monitoring work and ensuring the safe use of warehouse equipment
Establish warehouse practices and protocols to achieve an efficient warehouse
Set warehouse and team goals in collaboration with executive management and other team leads
Monitor workplace performance and lead training initiatives to improve employees
Keep up-to-date on the latest federal and state safety regulations
Communicate with other departments to ensure products are shipped in a timely manner.
Oversee daily warehouse and logistics operations, collaborating with the Purchasing and Sales/Shipping teams.
Supervise warehouse activities, including receiving, packing, and shipping, to ensure adherence to shipment schedules.
Drive continuous improvement in efficiency regarding space utilization, resource management, cycle time, and cost-effectiveness.
Enhance warehouse space management through effective housekeeping practices and maintaining a safe working environment.
Plan warehouse and logistics resources in alignment with business needs.
Perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned by the department head.
Requirements:
A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in the trading or distribution industry.
A diploma or degree in Warehouse Management, Distribution, Logistics, or a related field.
Supervisory experience is preferred.
Hands-on, operational role.
Candidates with substantial experience may be considered for higher-level positions, with compensation commensurate with qualifications.
