HELPDESK SUPPORT ENGINEER RESPONSIBILITY

• Monitor and observe system alerts or out of the normal system behaviours.

• Follow incident isolation procedure to identify and verify faults before applying problem resolution scripts to fix the issue or escalation.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS NEEDED

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for the L2 support and troubleshooting for production incidents and critical system interface.

• Support the Incident Manager in ensuring preventive and detective measures of applications are identified and implemented with provision of root cause analysis.

• Responsible for production system integrity and production system readiness of banking systems.

• Support the IT Planner in meeting project objective and perform production transition for new system launch and system change request.

• Propose improvement for systems based on identified process gaps.

• Standardize processes through developing implementation, integration, and documentation in accordance to set standards.

• Identify and propose suitable processes for automation and implementation.

• Highlight and escalates risk issues to relevant parties in a timely manner.

• Participate in system restoration for Disaster Recovery exercises.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology

• Possess strong work experience in the Application or System Support function, preferably in a bank or financial institution.

• Has technical knowledge on Application hosted in both Windows and LINUX, able to perform database query (SQL Server, ORACLE) and handling application services under Windows Services and LINUX application services

• Experience in suporitng Banking payment systems will be advantageous

• Possess good understanding and competency in scripting (such as DOS, UNIX or VBA).

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and communicate with the Regional Sales Manager about existing clients and prospects in such a way as to ensure optimal support, both internally and externally.
• Provide information by telephone to clients about business opportunities and lease options.
• Assist with providing rate indications to customers as support in such a way as to ensure the timely and proper provision of proposals.
• Assist in the preparation of lease proposals for potential customers.
• Draft proposals and apply the predetermined price structure, providing an explanation upon request.
• Prepare and send lease contracts for tank containers to existing clients within the scope of agreed framework contracts, and process accepted proposals in the system.
• Maintain proper document filings - hardcopy contracts, lease amendments, related documents, etc.
• Compile the Exposure Reports, Bi-weekly Off-hire Forecast Summary, and monthly activity report.
